Baringa do not prescribe a specific management methodology, instead working in partnership with clients to chose the right solution for their needs.
Baringa’s extensive pool of Programme and Project Managers have both industry recognised qualifications (PRINCE II, PMP, Agile Scrum Master) and the battle scars that come from experience of delivering large scale Business and IT change for our clients
Our practitioners are pragmatic in the way they apply methodology to a programme, balancing theory with practical experience, working with the client and their delivery teams to ensure collaborative success and development of internal teams along the way.
This approach brings to the table best-of-breed options for programme delivery, QA, PMO and detailed aspects of systems implementation:
• Define, Plan: Scope and Vision, Project/Programme Initiation Document, High Level Plan, costs, and resources
• Plan & Organise: Detailed Plan, Mobilisation of resources, Supplier engagement
• Design: Business, Process, and Technology Analysis and Design, Scope management and Vendor Selection
• Development: Package selection and configuration, Build/Development and Change Management
• Implementation: Release Management, Change Management, People and Process training and rollout

Formalised quality gates will record the transition between each of the migration stages and details the deliverables, actions and metrics associated with each phase
To deliver the pre and post implementation activities in a structured manner, a robust set of cutover activities will be defined and rehearsed to mitigate the risk of business disruption which would include: Scheduling, Cutover Event Testing, Command and Control framework to manage the cutover activities and Stabilisation of BAU operations post cutover. - Setup or migration service is for specific cloud services

Fighting climate change
Our vision is to make a net positive impact through outstanding environmental sustainability practices both internally and with our clients. This is reflected in Baringa being awarded, for the second year running, a Silver EcoVadis Sustainability Rating putting us in the top 20% of rated businesses for Sustainability performances.
As an organisation, we have formally committed to setting emissions reductions targets that align to a <1.5 degree warming scenario via the Science Based Targets Initiative and as part of UNFCCC's Race to Zero Campaign pledge. We are therefore committed to being Net Zero aligned by 2030.
We are a member of both the B-Corp Climate Collective (a member organisation of the UNFCCC’s Race to Zero campaign), and the Business in the Community Net Zero Taskforce, sharing best practice and insight to improve our activities and support other businesses in delivering Net Zero objectives.
In entering a contract, we would welcome conversations on how we can most effectively combat climate change through delivery of the contract. The following are examples of initiatives we have offered to previous clients:
Climate risk training: we have delivered our Climate Risk training to clients, including a module on climate awareness and another on climate strategy and what this means for the business, functions and clients. We have delivered this training to over 4,000 attendees, across 84 countries and covering 34 different sectors.
Electric vehicles (EV) and Charging Infrastructure workshop: Our Baringa EV experts have run workshops on the roll out of EV fleet operations and associated charging considerations.
Round table discussion on climate change risks and environmental measures in support of sustainability strategies: we have convened panels of industry experts across public and private sector, on a particular area of your sustainability strategy (topics could include EV infrastructure, baselining energy emissions, and environmental tax considerations).Covid-19 recovery
At Baringa, we understand first-hand the seismic impact the Covid-19 pandemic had on people and businesses across the UK. We are committed to supporting the recovery of local communities and economies, through employment, re-training and return to work opportunities, and supporting the health of those affected by the virus.
We demonstrated our commitment to Covid-19 recovery through our instrumental contributions during the pandemic, where we worked on:
UK Vaccinations Programme: Designing and implementing the E2E supply chain for vaccine distribution, resulting in one of the fastest roll outs in the world.
NHS Test & Trace programmes: Providing E2E supply chain integration by supporting the design of the rollout, ensuring it was fit for purpose and aligned ahead of mobilisation.
In entering a contract, we would welcome conversations on how we can most effectively assist your organisation in recovering from the impact of Covid-19 through delivery of the contract. The following are examples of initiatives we have offered to previous clients:
1:1 Coaching for returners to work after shielding/long term absence: we have provided coaching sessions to client team members who are returning to work after a period of absence as a result of COVID-19. This can included one-to-one mentoring and learning & development topics in relation to the contract.
Use of small and diverse businesses who may have been impacted by the pandemic: we have supported small and diverse businesses throughout the contract by using our small organisation supplier list who were disproportionally affected by Covid-19, when organising CSR activity and socials.
CSR day in the local community: we have arranged CSRs day where your team and Baringa can work together to combat the effects of the pandemic on those in the local community who were impacted the most (e.g. those left unemployed, homeless, reducing loneliness, promoting social mixing).Tackling economic inequality
At Baringa we understand the importance of helping businesses to create better, higher-paying jobs in every part of the UK. Baringa is the strategic partner to the Drive Forward foundation, providing practical and emotional support to care leavers. In 2023 we hosted 35 two-week work placement internships with young people, giving them the opportunity to develop professional skills, improve confidence and broaden their network. We are also partnered with One Westminster, who serve the voluntary sector in the City of Westminster and work alongside over 100 charities in the borough. Baringa works alongside One Westminster to plan CSR activities, including careers advice sessions, professional skills sharing and hosting workshops to tackle major challenges internally faced by charities.
In entering a contract, we would welcome conversations on how we can most effectively assist your organisation in tackling economic inequality through delivery of the contract. The following are examples of initiatives we have offered to previous clients:
Ubuntu Inclusivity Workshop: we have delivered Ubuntu (inclusivity) workshops considering the insider and outsider dynamics and inequalities within the client workforce and defining tangible actions the team can take to manage these dynamics.
Care leaver internships with the Drive Forward Foundation: giving young people the opportunity to develop professional skills, improve confidence and broaden their network in 2-week internships. Placement areas could include: Data Analytics and AI, renewable energy, government and Fintech.
Prep and Pizza with UK Youth: speed-interview events hosted by our team offering young people from the local area the opportunity to practice typical CV-based and competency interview questions with Baringa employees and clients. The students receive real-time feedback and an opportunity to get to know our team to make it as comfortable and empowering as possible.Equal opportunity
At Baringa we are passionate about providing opportunities to all and care about breaking down stigmas towards gender, sexual orientation, race, disability, mental health, religion, and other protected characteristics. Our Early Careers team partner with UpReach, a social mobility charity, as well as our partner Race for Opportunity to ensure diversity within our recruitment pipeline at all grades. This has enabled us to meet our 2023 target of 20% BAME representation across all grades with 43% also identifying as female.
As another specific example, our commitment to reducing the disability employment gap within our workforce and beyond means we have a neurodiversity network at Baringa. The network serves to understand and accommodate the needs of neurodiverse colleagues, supporting them to deliver high quality outcomes for our people and clients.
In entering a contract, we would welcome conversations on how we can most effectively assist your organisation in promoting equal opportunities through delivery of the contract. The following are examples of initiatives we have offered to previous clients:
Inclusivity Templates: at the start of the project all team members from your team and Baringa will have the opportunity to share their Baringa-designed inclusivity template with each other to enable their working preferences to be understood by the rest of the team.
Neurodiversity 101 Training: we have run our Neurodiversity 101 course for clients. The subject matter covers what neurodiversity is, how neurodivergent conditions can impact people at work, and the benefits they bring and what we can do to support neurodivergent individuals who work for and with us.
Female Leadership Development Programme: we have delivered this half-day programme for future female leaders within our clients. The course supports high potential females within your team to accelerate their careers.Wellbeing
Our people and partners are at the center of our organisations, and therefore wellbeing is at the core of what we all do. This is reflected in Baringa having placed second in the super large company category (1000+ employees) for the ‘Best Workplaces for Wellbeing’ in 2023.
Our wellbeing initiatives and benefits highlights include:
Promoting financial wellbeing and aiding in financial support of our people, through our interest-free loan and Partnership with ‘Nudge’
Caring for our people’s overall wellbeing, with access to clinical psychologists to safely talk through challenges both at home, and in work, through HelloSelf
Celebrating and encouraging our development of selves outside of work by increasing CSR days and enabling Baringa to deliver these jointly with our Gov clients
In entering a contract, we would welcome conversations on how we can most effectively assist your organisation in promoting wellbeing through delivery of the contract. The following are examples of initiatives we have offered to previous clients:
Mental Health First Aiders: we have trained mental health first aiders, with over 100 Baringa employees trained so far. As a result, Baringa has agreed to having mental health first aiders available to support our clients for the duration of our service delivery.
Team Mood: ‘Team Mood’ is an interactive wellbeing tool to track and report on the wellbeing of a team. Baringa has previously purchased a subscription to enable your team to report on their wellbeing on a weekly basis and provide an overall fortnightly dashboard which will be shared with the leadership team to identify any tangible improvements.
Health and Wellbeing Deep dives: we have organised a series of deep dives for client teams. These sessions have centred around the pillars of wellbeing: Physical, Mental, Social, Emotional and Financial Wellbeing.
