Fighting climate change
We’re committed to become Carbon Neutral by 2026 using science-based targets with plans to work towards becoming net zero by 2050 (aligned to government Net Zero Strategy). To comply with Procurement Policy Note 06/21, we maintain an annual Carbon Reduction Plan. We also hold ISO14001 certification through our parent company, Version 1.
Through this contract we will:
-Adopt a Remote-First Approach: Implement remote-first working practices, reserving travel for face-to-face interactions to reduce emissions.
-Promote Sustainable Business Travel: Encourage the use of public transport, our cycle-to-work scheme and season ticket loans to reduce our carbon footprint from business travel.
-Offset Emissions: Actively offset remaining emissions through verified schemes, aiming to balance our carbon output as part of our path to carbon neutrality.
-Enhance Resource Efficiency: Focus on reusing and recycling within our operations, including the use of second-hand furniture and office recycling facilities. This approach extends to reusing computer and other technological equipment, reducing waste and demand for new resources.
-Lead Green Procurement: We’ve developed a sustainability-focused procurement policy and are engaging with our new and existing suppliers to influence their climate ambition. Some of our specific propositions include: annual reporting on progress to Net Zero; green software accreditation for all our delivery teams; Climate Fresk training for our joint client and Farsight teams.
-Use Energy-Efficient Facilities Practices: Work with facilities providers that utilise renewable energy and energy-efficient practices such as reduced climate control measures and LED lighting.
-Enforce Supplier Compliance: Require that all suppliers and subcontractors have Carbon Reduction Plans and sustainability policies aligned to our own.
-Utilise Sustainable Technology and Practices: Leverage sustainable technologies and practices (e.g. cloud solutions, server virtualisation, energy-efficient hardware) in our project deliveries, ensuring that our solutions are not only innovative but also environmentally sustainable.Covid-19 recovery
