End-of-contract data extraction
At the end of the contract, users can extract their data directly from Jotform Enterprise using self-service tools provided within the platform. Authorised users can export form submissions, uploaded files, and associated metadata in commonly used, open formats such as CSV, Excel, or PDF, ensuring data portability and reuse. Exports can be performed per form or across multiple forms, depending on user permissions.

For organisations with larger data volumes or specific requirements, data can also be retrieved programmatically using the Jotform REST API, enabling bulk extraction and integration into other systems. During the contract period, users are encouraged to perform regular exports to support internal retention policies.

Upon contract termination, access remains available for a defined period to allow customers to complete data extraction in line with contractual terms. Where required, the Customer Success team can provide guidance on the extraction process. After the agreed retention period, customer data is securely deleted in accordance with Jotform’s data retention and security policies.
End-of-contract process
At the end of the contract, Jotform Enterprise follows a structured offboarding process aligned with contractual terms. Customers retain access to the service for a defined period to complete data exports and transition activities. During this period, authorised users can extract submissions, files, and metadata using built-in export tools or the API. Once the access period ends, the account is deactivated and customer data is securely deleted in accordance with agreed retention policies and applicable data protection requirements.

The contract price includes access to the Jotform Enterprise platform, core functionality for form creation and workflow management, cloud hosting, standard security controls, documentation, and email or ticket-based support. Enterprise onboarding assistance and account management are also included as part of the base service.

Additional costs may apply for optional features or services, such as Single Sign-On (SSO), HIPAA or other enhanced compliance configurations, additional user licences, increased storage, advanced integrations, or bespoke training and professional services. Differences between the mobile and desktop service
Jotform is fully mobile responsive, automatically adapting forms and submissions for optimal usability on smartphones and tablets. Users can access, complete, and manage forms seamlessly across devices without loss of functionality or design. In addition, Jotform provides a dedicated mobile app that supports offline form completion. Forms can be filled out without an internet connection and automatically synchronised once connectivity is restored, making the service suitable for field teams, remote work, and environments with unreliable network access.

API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
Jotform Enterprise provides a REST-based API that enables users to programmatically interact with key parts of the service. Using the API, users can authenticate securely, retrieve account information, create and manage forms, access form metadata, and submit or retrieve form submissions. The API supports setting up integrations by enabling automated data capture, synchronising records with external systems, triggering workflows via webhooks, and exporting submission data for reporting or downstream processing.

Users can make ongoing changes through the API, such as updating form properties, managing form availability, retrieving user and submission data, and automating notifications or integrations. This allows organisations to embed Jotform into broader digital services and operational workflows without manual intervention.

However, there are limitations to what can be configured through the API. Advanced administrative functions, including organisation-level security settings, role and permission management, billing configuration, compliance enablement (such as SSO or HIPAA), and some workflow or template management features, must be managed through the web-based administrative interface. API usage is also subject to authentication, permission scopes, and rate limits to protect service performance and security.

Customisation available
Yes
Description of customisation
Users can customise Jotform Enterprise across multiple functional and administrative areas to meet organisational requirements. Customisable elements include form layouts, survey fields, validation rules, conditional logic, approval workflows, notifications, integrations, branding, and data handling behaviours. Organisations can also configure submission storage, export formats, and automation triggers to align with internal processes.

Customisation is primarily performed through the web-based, no-code interface using visual editors, drag-and-drop components, and configuration panels. Advanced users can further customise behaviour through the REST API, webhooks, and integrations with third-party systems. Templates can be reused and adapted to support consistent service delivery across teams.

Customisation rights are controlled through role-based access control. Administrative users manage organisation-wide settings such as security options, user permissions, integrations, and branding. Standard users can customise the forms and workflows they are authorised to manage, while end users interact only with published forms. This approach enables flexibility while maintaining governance, security, and compliance across the organisation.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Jotform Enterprise is delivered on a scalable cloud architecture designed to isolate customer workloads and maintain consistent performance. The platform uses resource allocation controls, load balancing, and autoscaling to manage demand across users and organisations. Usage limits, rate limiting, and monitoring are applied to prevent individual tenants from consuming disproportionate resources. Continuous performance monitoring and capacity planning are used to identify and address potential bottlenecks. This approach ensures that spikes in activity from one customer do not negatively impact the availability, reliability, or performance experienced by other users of the service.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Jotform Enterprise provides a high-availability, cloud-based service designed to support continuous access for business-critical use cases. The platform is hosted on Google Cloud Services and benefits from resilient infrastructure, redundancy, and automated monitoring to minimise downtime and service disruption.

Jotform offers a service level agreement (SLA) for availability, defined contractually for Enterprise customers. The SLA sets a guaranteed monthly uptime percentage, excluding scheduled maintenance and events outside of Jotform’s reasonable control. Planned maintenance activities are communicated in advance and scheduled outside peak usage hours wherever possible to reduce impact.

Service availability is continuously monitored, and incidents affecting availability are prioritised and addressed by the operations and engineering teams. In the event that the agreed availability levels are not met within a given billing period, Enterprise customers may be eligible for service credits in accordance with the terms of their contract. Service credits are applied as a percentage of the monthly service fee and represent the sole and exclusive remedy for failure to meet availability commitments.

This approach provides transparency, accountability, and predictable remedies, while ensuring customers benefit from a stable, resilient SaaS service suitable for public sector and regulated environments.
Approach to resilience
Jotform Enterprise is designed for resilience through a combination of cloud-native architecture, operational controls, and robust datacentre infrastructure. The service is delivered as a SaaS platform hosted on Google Cloud Services, leveraging built-in redundancy, high availability, and fault-tolerant design to reduce the risk of service disruption.

The platform uses distributed infrastructure with load balancing and autoscaling to manage fluctuations in demand and maintain consistent performance. Critical components are monitored continuously, allowing potential issues to be detected and addressed proactively. Automated failover mechanisms and redundancy at the infrastructure and application layers help ensure service continuity in the event of component or regional issues.

Data is stored on resilient storage systems designed to protect against hardware failure and data loss. Regular backups and tested recovery processes support data integrity and availability. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside peak usage periods wherever possible and communicated in advance.

Jotform’s datacentre resilience is underpinned by Google Cloud’s global infrastructure, which includes physically secure facilities, redundant power and networking, and geographically distributed locations. Detailed architectural and resilience information, including recovery objectives and internal controls, can be made available to buyers on request, subject to appropriate confidentiality, to support assurance and risk assessment requirements.
Outage reporting
Jotform reports service outages through direct customer communications and established support channels to ensure timely awareness and transparency. When a service disruption or degradation occurs, affected customers are notified via email alerts that describe the nature of the issue, its potential impact, and progress toward resolution. Planned maintenance activities are also communicated in advance by email to minimise disruption.

Enterprise customers can additionally obtain outage updates through support tickets and direct communication with the Customer Success team, where incidents are logged, tracked, and updated until resolution. Support teams provide status updates, estimated recovery information where available, and post-incident follow-up as appropriate. Incident communication is managed through proactive notifications and responsive support engagement, ensuring customers receive clear, consistent, and actionable information during service interruptions.
