Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
We ensure a smooth and successful start for all users through our structured, world-class onboarding programme, led by a dedicated Customer Success Manager. Our approach is tailored to both administrators and end-users.

For Administrators:
We provide hands-on, personalised training. This typically includes a series of live, online training sessions, where we guide your team through every aspect of the administrative dashboard, from initial setup and configuration to ongoing management and reporting.

For End-Users (Drivers):
Our goal is to make the transition effortless. We work with you to develop a tailored communications plan and provide a full suite of materials, including:
Written Comms: Email templates and announcements to introduce the service.
Online Training: We host live "how-to" webinars for all users, demonstrating the app's key functions and answering questions in a Q&A session.
User Documentation: We provide access to a comprehensive online help centre with step-by-step guides, FAQs, and short video tutorials that users can access anytime.

For major launches, we can also provide optional on-site support to engage users and assist them with getting started in person.

End-of-contract data extraction
We have a well-defined and professional process to ensure clients can securely and completely extract their data at the end of a contract. The entire process is managed in collaboration with the client by their dedicated Customer Success Manager.
Upon contract termination, we provide a full and complete export of all client-owned data if requested. This includes all historical information on user accounts, parking sessions, transactions, and permits. The data is provided in an open, non-proprietary, and easily portable format, allowing for straightforward import into another system or for archival purposes.
End-of-contract process
Our end-of-contract process is designed to be a smooth, secure, and professional transition, managed in full collaboration with your team.

The primary offboarding steps are:
Data Export: We provide a final, complete export of all your organisation's data. This data is delivered in an open, non-proprietary format.
Secure Data Purge: Once you have confirmed receipt, we will securely and permanently purge all of your organisation’s data from our live and backup systems, in accordance with our GDPR and SOC 2Type 2 compliant data management policies.

Included in the Price:
The management of the entire offboarding process by your Customer Success Manager.
The generation and secure delivery of the standard, complete data export.

Potential Additional Costs:
Extended Service Period: If you require the Parkable service to remain active beyond the contract end date to facilitate a longer transition, this would be arranged via a short-term contract extension.
Custom Data Services: If your team requires the data to be formatted or transformed in a specific, non-standard way that requires significant engineering work, this would be scoped as a separate professional services engagement.

Description of service interface
Parkable offers two primary service interfaces. For administrators, we provide a powerful, web-based dashboard for managing all aspects of the car park, including users, permits, reporting, and hardware integrations. For end-users (drivers), we provide an intuitive mobile app (iOS/Android) and a responsive web app that allows them to self-manage everything from finding and booking a space to making payments and accessing the car park. Both interfaces are designed for a simple, user-friendly experience while providing robust functionality.
Accessibility standards
None or don’t know
Description of accessibility
While our service is not formally audited against WCAG, our native mobile apps are built using standard frameworks compatible with built-in screen readers like VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android). This provides a foundational level of accessibility, allowing users to navigate and have text read aloud. We prioritise simple layouts and are committed to working with our clients to identify and address any specific accessibility barriers found during use.
Accessibility testing
We have not yet done any testing specifically with assistive technology users.
API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
What users CAN do:
Through our API, your developers can programmatically manage the entire user lifecycle, including creating, updating, and removing users to synchronise with your internal systems. You can manage access rights by assigning users to specific groups, granting them permissions for certain car parks or permit types. The API can also be used to retrieve a wide range of data for custom dashboards or business intelligence tools, including real-time occupancy, user activity, and financial transaction history. Furthermore, it can be used to trigger actions, such as authorising a barrier gate to open.
What users CAN'T do:
To ensure security, data integrity, and PCI compliance, the API has intentional limitations. Users cannot directly process raw credit card information or execute financial transactions, as this is handled exclusively by our secure, PCI-compliant payment provider (Stripe). The API also cannot be used to alter the core business logic or underlying configuration of the Parkable platform. Finally, the API is strictly sandboxed per client; it is impossible to access any data outside of your own organisation.

Customisation available
Yes
Description of customisation
Parkable is highly customisable through configuration. Designated client administrators can customise all key business rules (such as user groups, pricing, permit types, and access permissions) using our intuitive, self-service web dashboard.
They can also tailor elements like car park names and descriptions. For deeper customisation, our open API allows your technical teams to build custom integrations with your existing systems, ensuring Parkable fits seamlessly into your technology ecosystem.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Parkable ensures service isolation through multi-tenancy architecture on Google Cloud Platform with logical data segregation using unique encryption keys per customer.

What the PCI DSS doesn’t cover
Parkable holds PCI DSS SAQ A (Self-Assessment Questionnaire A) certification, which specifically covers e-commerce merchants who have fully outsourced all cardholder data functions to PCI DSS validated third-party service providers.

Our certification does NOT cover:
Card-present transactions or physical payment terminals
Storage, processing, or transmission of cardholder data on Parkable systems
Direct payment processing infrastructure

All payment card processing is fully outsourced to Stripe, our PCI DSS validated payment service provider. Parkable does not store any cardholder data, sensitive authentication data, or handle physical card readers. Our certification applies only to card-not-present e-commerce transactions where customers enter payment details directly into Stripe's secure payment interface.
The SAQ A certification reflects our architecture: we redirect users to Stripe for payment processing, ensuring that no cardholder data ever touches Parkable's systems or infrastructure. This approach minimises security risks while maintaining PCI DSS compliance for our e-commerce payment acceptance.
