Fighting climate change
Edge Health has a corporate objective to be carbon-neutral within three years and carbon-negative within five years and is working towards ISO14001 for 2022 (the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system) to complement its ISO9001 (quality management) and 27001 (secure information management) accreditations. Edge Health are committed to continually improving our approach to contributing to net-zero carbon including: • In line with our sustainability targets, we propose to deliver this project remotely, with online meetings through Microsoft Teams and digital outputs to reduce our carbon footprint. • If workshops are face to face we will use venues close to public transport links to encourage participants to use the most resource-effective travel methods. • Setting up micro-website to avoid participants printing out paper-based materials. • In our offices using LED lighting, encouraging turning off lights, enabling energy-saving and battery-saving modules on all our PC and mobile work devices. • Recycling where possible and moving away from single-use items and encouraging staff not to print out any documents to reduce printing and paper use. • Using recycled resources such as second-hand office furniture. • As we are based in central London, we encourage all staff to use public transport, cycling, walking and limiting car use. • Taking a hybrid approach for attendance in our office, split home working and office attendance and maximise the use of online meetings. • Encouraging our office landlord to instal low-carbon heating technology and use renewable energy suppliers. • Offsetting Carbon emissions through funding solutions and we are planning to join a tree planting scheme. - Covid-19 recovery

Edge Health continues to provide leading analysis and support to organisations that are seeking to manage and recover from the impact of the COVID-19. Tackling economic inequality
Edge Health work across the NHS in England and Wales. Through this work, Edge Health help to identify variations in outcomes, or potential inequalities in the delivery of services. This work has and continues to help organisations to respond to the challenges of inequalities, which are often not visible due to poor recording or reporting. - Equal opportunity

Equal opportunity
Edge Health is an inclusive employer and has diversity and inclusion policies covering all aspects of employment, from vacancy advertising, interviewing, selection, and training to conditions of service and reasons for termination of employment. This is supported by a clear internal policy, which forms part of our ISO9001 accreditation. We are committed to opposing all forms of discrimination in the workplace and have diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies. These principles of non-discrimination and equality of opportunity apply to the way in which staff, visitors, clients, customers, suppliers and former employees are treated. Adherence to these principles will be monitored throughout the delivery of this service. Investing in local communities is key to our social value plans Edge Health provides extensive work experience and internship opportunities, which help young people gain relevant experience. These placements are funded to ensure that a diverse group of people apply. We would aim to include one individual in Edge Health’s Internship programme as part of the project team in order to offer them an opportunity to learn more about healthcare and the economics of data. While the direct aim of this project does not involve activities with the local community, benefits realised by using your organisation's data may have positive externalities on local communities across the country through improved access to, and quality of, health services. - Wellbeing
