Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
- Mapcite's Excel AddIn runs on a user's local machine. However, it does rely upon some external components at start up and for geocoding. Should the availability of these supporting components be unavailable for more than 24 hours, Mapcite will extend the licence period for a period equal to the downtime experienced.
- Approach to resilience
- Mapcite's Excel AddIn is designed to run on a users local machine not in a datacentre. However, users do need to be connected to Mapcite's server during usage of the AddIn (for publishing and geocoding services). Mapcite uses AWS to host its software. Microsoft Store hosts the Addin.

- Security governance approach

Mapcite adopts a security by design approach.
Mapcite's Excel Addin holds the user data on the users local machine and subject to the security regime adopted by the user.
Where the user requires geocoding services, the user selects the address data they are prepared to send to the third party service.
Only the address component of the data needs to be shared.
All data in transit is secured over Https. Address data sent for geocoding is not stored by Mapcite. - Information security policies and processes
- All security issues are reported to a Board Director and overseen by that Board Director until resolved. Any clients impacted by the issue will be contacted and kept appraised of the situation until resolved.
