Fighting climate change

Evelon is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint annually and aims to achieve carbon-neutral status by 2030, at the latest. To achieve this goal, we have utilised the Carbon Trust’s SME Carbon Footprint Calculator to establish our baseline emissions and have developed strategies to enhance our current performance in various areas, including waste management, business travel, employee commuting, staff engagement, and education. Our commitment encompasses the following measures: 1. We maintain a written Environmental Policy along with related strategies and targets to support our objectives. This policy undergoes bi-annual review and updates and is fully communicated, understood, and endorsed by all our staff. 2. Our office space is small and serviced, accommodating an average of 2-5 individuals. However, most employees work remotely. Transportation to the office primarily involves the use of public transport or bicycles, with our carbon footprint limited to our portion of heating and lighting. 3. Company-related travel and commuting to the office are minimised and predominantly conducted via rail, foot, or bicycle when necessary. 4. Remote working arrangements are implemented for all staff, complemented by home equipment. We extensively utilise Slack and Google Cloud software for both client and internal meetings and workshops, reducing the necessity for travel. 5. We exclusively employ cloud-based software for customer work, internal technical operations, and administrative tasks. Our computing infrastructure consists solely of personal laptops, eliminating the need for fixed computing equipment. 6. We uphold a paper-free environment for all assignments and internal administrative functions, reducing waste and eliminating the necessity for physical storage. 7. Laptops are reused across employees and appropriately disposed of at end-of-life in accordance with prevailing UK Environmental legislation. 8. We ensure that our suppliers adhere to suitable environmental policies, actively pursuing carbon-neutrality prior to 2030.

Tackling economic inequality

At Evelon, our economic equality initiatives encompass: 1. Role-specific training programs for all staff. 2. Atlassian certification pathways for consulting and operational team members, recognised by the industry. 3. Regular internal knowledge-sharing workshops. 4. Participation in ecosystem events such as partner webinars, community gatherings, and training sessions throughout the year. 5. Each team operates with its vision, measurable goals, and development plans, fostering a culture of motivation, involvement, and autonomy. At Evelon, everyone has a clearly defined career path with opportunities for advancement within levels and through vertical promotion. In addition to fair compensation and career progression, we offer regular growth opportunities to recognise and reward our team's contributions.

Equal opportunity

At Evelon, we are committed to cultivating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace, free from discrimination. Our zero-tolerance approach to discrimination is underpinned by our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Policy, applicable to all Evelon team members and representatives. Our policy pledges: * Ensuring equality, fairness, and respect for all staff, valuing differences and contributions equally. * Prohibiting intimidation, bullying, or harassment, with consequences for policy breaches. * Offering training, development, and progression opportunities equitably. * Promoting workplace equality, refraining from biased treatment based on various factors, and providing necessary accommodations. * Encouraging reporting of discrimination concerns. * Regularly reviewing employment practices to maintain fairness. This policy is integrated into Evelon's onboarding process for staff, associates, and subcontractors. We collect EDI data during onboarding and report quarterly on EDI Key Performance Indicators. Policies, processes, and education ensure legal compliance, with annual audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Management training includes awareness of abuse signs as per SCIE guidelines, with staff encouraged to report concerns for investigation and action. Both senior leaders and staff bear the responsibility of demonstrating diversity and inclusion behaviours in all interactions. At Evelon, we are dedicated to fostering a culture where everyone feels valued and respected.

Wellbeing

At Evelon, we prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff and associates. To achieve this: * Physical activity is encouraged through regular team charitable events like running, cycling, and obstacle races, with initiatives such as the cycle to work scheme, gym memberships, and online meditation and relaxation resources provided. * Our comprehensive healthcare scheme includes annual medical and wellbeing assessments. * Flexible working arrangements are offered to all, along with risk assessments for home working, free eye tests, and additional wellbeing support. * Regular breaks and movement during the workday are encouraged, with leave allowances monitored to ensure staff and associates take adequate time off. * We maintain an open-door policy regarding wellbeing, disability, and mental health concerns, offering additional support through a well-defined process. At Evelon, we foster a supportive and inclusive culture, celebrating the diversity of our workforce in terms of experience and background. This commitment ensures a positive and inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and content in their work.
