How the training service works
From large-scale bespoke projects to the management and maintenance of specialist training facilities, escalla is committed to developing and delivering training solutions which meet the specific and complex needs of our customers.

With over 25 years of experience in delivering training to the public sector, we are proud to be designing and delivering bespoke end-user training to some of the largest public safety teams in the UK. With the growing drive for digital transformation in the public sector, we deliver solutions that revolutionise how software is utilised and how essential data is monitored. Through exceptional blended models of training, colleagues develop knowledge and skills that enable them to adapt to newly implemented platforms with ease.

Adopting a new system is not without its challenges. To guarantee the success of such a transformation; efficient, comprehensive training is key. We take a blended approach, using a mixture of face-to-face classroom-based learning, complemented by online, virtual classroom learning to ensure a wider reach.

We then support this through effective go-live floorwalking support ensuring your people have the confidence and competence to use the systems and processes effectively

Fighting climate change

Escalla are committed to fighting climate change and have implemented a number of policies to work towards this. These include:
Banning of single use plastics in our rest areas
Use of public transport where applicable/available
Incentivise use of electric vehicles with our staff
Encourage hybrid/home-working

Covid-19 recovery

As a training company, we have made specific contributions to helping the UK bounce-back from the Covid-19 pandemic. These include:

Remote Work Skills: we provide training on remote work best practices, virtual collaboration tools, time management, and digital communication skills. This can help employees adapt to remote work arrangements and maintain productivity.

Reskilling and Upskilling: We provide reskilling and upskilling programs to help individuals acquire new skills or enhance existing ones that are in demand in the post-pandemic economy. These include digital skills, data analysis, project management, and customer service training.

Mental Health and Well-being: We developed training programs on stress management, resilience building, mental health awareness, and supportive workplace practices. This can help individuals cope with pandemic-related stress and challenges.

Tackling economic inequality

At escalla, we are committed to tackling economic equality.
We ensure that all employees are paid a living wage that covers basic needs such as housing, food, healthcare, and education.
We invest in job creation programs, especially in underserved communities, and provide training programs to equip individuals with the skills needed for available jobs.
We practice corporate social responsibility by promoting fair wages, benefits, and working conditions, as well as responsible business practices that benefit communities and the environment.

Equal opportunity

One of the starkest imbalances in the UK workforce is gender and the fact that  COVID-19 has had a disproportionate impact on women. Research by the Fawcett Society reports: Women are 6 out of every 10 key workers, and 77% of the workforce at high risk of exposure to coronavirus are women. Women are more likely to work in shut-down sectors, with 23% of women and 16% men in these industries. Women are 5% points more likely to have lost jobs than men during the outbreak. Mothers in couples are one-and-a-half times more likely than fathers to have lost their job or quit since lockdown. Women are also underrepresented in the technology sector by a factor of 10. We are a signatory of the Tech Talent Charter, committed to drive greater diversity and inclusion in tech and an active member of Tech She Can, committed to work collectively to improve the ratio of women in technology.

Wellbeing

We are committed to supporting the UK workforce with their health and wellbeing. We provide a number of training programmes designed to help people stay on top of their mental health, both now and in the future.

Alongside our training programmes, our staff are all given the opportunity to invest in their mental wellbeing, however they choose. We offer:
Flexible Work Arrangements: work hours or remote work options can reduce stress and improve work-life balance.
Mental Health Support: counseling services and access to mental health professionals. We promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma around seeking help.
Training and Development: We offer training on stress management, resilience, and mindfulness. Provide resources for personal and professional development.
Open Communication: We have a culture where employees feel comfortable discussing their health concerns or work-related stress. Encourage open dialogue and provide avenues for feedback.
