Fighting climate change
We believe that we play a pivotal role in combating climate change by fostering awareness, implementing sustainable practices, and empowering individuals to make eco-conscious decisions. Virtual IT Education have a focus on:
Encouraging the use of virtual collaboration tools reduces the need for travel, minimising carbon emissions associated with commuting. Platforms for online meetings, virtual classrooms, and remote teamwork enable efficient knowledge sharing while reducing the environmental impact of transportation.
Utilising cloud-based systems as cloud services typically utilise data centers with more efficient energy management systems. This leads to reduced energy consumption and carbon emissions compared to traditional on-premises infrastructure.
Adopting responsible disposal and recycling of electronic waste, through refurbishment or donating to charitable organisations.Covid-19 recovery
Virtual IT has supported nearly 400 schools and 24 partner MATs through the Covid 19 pandemic and beyond. We are committed to offering a comprehensive IT solutions tailored to the unique challenges faced in the post-pandemic educational landscape.
We assist schools in enhancing and expanding their remote learning infrastructure. This includes optimising network bandwidth, deploying collaboration tools, and ensuring secure access to digital resources for teaching and learning purposes
With the increased reliance on digital platforms, cybersecurity becomes paramount. As one of the few MSSP's in Education, we implement robust cybersecurity measures protect sensitive student data and prevent cyber threats such as phishing attacks and malware infiltrations, safeguarding the integrity of remote learning environments.
We can provide device management solutions to streamline the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of laptops, tablets, and other devices used for 1:1 and BYOD schemes. This ensures uninterupted access to education materials and alligns to your school improvement strategy
We can deploy virtual classroom solutions that replicate the traditional classroom experience in a digital environment. These platforms facilitate interactive learning, real-time collaboration, and engagement between teachers and students, bridging the gap between in-person and remote teaching and learning opportunities.
With a focus on improving mental health, reducing workload stressors and improving attendance rates, Virtual IT will continously review it's services and solutions to better improve our partnership with schools and MATsTackling economic inequality
Virtual IT Education was born of the belief that all pupils deserve the very best learning opportunities, breaking down any digital divide barriers and promoting inclusivity.
We collaborate with schools to develop digital equitable programs aimed at bridging the digital divide. This includes providing low-income students with access to essential technology devices such as laptops, tablets, and internet connectivity, ensuring that all students have equal opportunities to engage in wider learning opportunities. Our focus has, and always will be, developing good relationships with our vendors so that we can offer cost effective solutions to schools and scalability for MATs.
Virtual IT has a large base of charity customers and therefor are well equipped to support with technology and funding grant opportunities offered by government agencies, nonprofit organisations, and private foundations. By securing additional financial resources, schools can invest in technology upgrades, professional development programs, and innovative educational initiatives to benefit economically disadvantaged students.
We ensure equal opportunity in our hiring processes by implementing policies that prohibit discrimination based on race, gender, age, or other factors. We do this by using standardised criteria for evaluating candidates, providing diversity training for hiring staff, and consider implementing blind recruitment techniques to focus solely on qualifications and skills, fostering a fair and inclusive hiring process. As an Investors in People award winner, we are committed to retaining our talent and upskilling them to better support the schools we serve.Wellbeing
Virtual IT integrates holistic support systems that address mental, physical, and emotional health needs. This includes providing access to health services, nutrious snacks and snacks, and resources for stress management. This means that our staff are happier and stay in post for longer.
For the schools we partner with, we implement IT solutions that streamline administrative tasks, reduce workload pressures, and enhance productivity, thereby alleviating stress for teachers and staff. We also collaborate with schools to develop policies and practices that foster a supportive work environment. We understand that nothing disrupts learning more than broken or outdated technology. Our focus is helping schools to deliver quality first teaching, not troubleshooting technology.
