Support levels
Each G-Cloud customer will receive a dedicated account manager and support from our Client Success (CS) Team, resources who are dedicated to the UK Public Sector. Indeed’s UK Public Sector organisation supports a broad variety of customers from the smallest local councils to the largest Central Government clients. Larger accounts will receive a dedicated National Account Manager & a Senior CS Specialist.

G-Cloud customers will also receive insights produced by our Global Client Insights (GCI) Team. GCI insights provide a competitive edge by leveraging detailed market and candidate data, understanding how an employer is ranked competitively against other employers, and challenges around vacancies, brand awareness, cost savings or pipeline building.

Additionally, our Public Sector Sales Director, Senior Sales Director and Client Success Manager will provide executive oversight of all major accounts. We also retain an outsourced partner team that provides administrative support and carries out common account requests as needed. These support services are provided to all G-Cloud customers at no additional cost.

Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
We first discuss with each customer what success looks like for them, outlining and mutually agreeing to specific success metrics during On-Boarding, metrics that serve as benchmarks for recruitment campaigns. We then use these data to create a Campaign Charter and return-on-investment (ROI) calculator, which are used to monitor performance throughout the campaign. The Charter outlines the campaign team, the campaign’s key objectives and milestones, scope, initial risks and approach to managing ongoing risk, defines the change management process, identifies any possible issues, and tracks progress and lessons throughout the campaign. Indeed believes strongly that on-site, in-person training leads to superior customer outcomes, thus we are happy to offer this option to any customers who prefer it.

End-of-contract data extraction
Customers own all their data at all times. Users can download their data at any time using our built-in export tools in common formats such as CSV (tables), JSON (records), and PDF (reports).
We provide a dedicated period (usually 30–60 days) for customers to extract data. Users keep access to run exports, and we can also provide a full copy on request. We can deliver data as a secure download, as an encrypted transfer to the customer’s chosen secure file server, or as an encrypted removable drive.
We also offer reasonable help to make sure the extraction is complete, and we support customised exports, with effort and cost agreed upon in advance. Once the customer confirms they have everything they need (or the extraction period ends), we securely delete the data from live systems and backups, and provide a certificate confirming deletion.
Access to exports is restricted to authorised users through strong authentication and monitoring in activity logs. We follow United Kingdom data protection laws throughout the exit process. Data will not leave agreed locations without the customer’s written permission.
End-of-contract process
At contract end, we confirm the end date, key steps, and contacts in writing and share an Exit Plan with timelines and deliverables. Users keep access for a set period (usually 30–60 days) to run reports and download data, and service, support, and security continue as normal. Users can export their data in common formats (CSV, JSON, PDF). Upon request, we will provide one full copy of customer data with basic documentation. Once a customer confirms receipt of data (or the exit period ends), we securely delete all data, remove backups and provide a deletion certificate.

Included in the contract price is exit planning and confirmation of dates, access during the standard exit period, self‑service exports in common formats, export guidance, one full data snapshot on request via secure download or secure file transfer, secure deletion and a deletion certificate.

Additional costs may be incurred for custom exports or data reshaping to specific formats; additional full snapshot or very large historical data sets; faster timelines, off‑hours work, or special delivery (for example, encrypted removable media or courier); and additional support (detailed workshops, hands‑on import support, extended archive access). Any extra work will be scoped, estimated, and mutually agreed upon beforehand.

What users can and can't do using the API
Indeed offers a Sponsored Jobs API, which allows customers to manage and receive reporting on Sponsored Jobs campaigns in an external system rather than through their Indeed Dashboard or through their Customer Success (CS) representative. The Sponsored Jobs API can be connected to many types of systems used by direct employers and ad agencies, or can be connected to an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Using this API, users can receive full applications and answers to candidate screener questions, sync disposition statuses of job applications, sponsor jobs directly via an ATS, push candidates with positive responses from Indeed into an ATS, and many other features.
These API integrations are implemented by ATS providers, or customers can build the integrations themselves. Use of these API integrations is governed by our additional API terms and guidelines. Customers can request changes or new features at any time.

Description of customisation
When creating a new job post, authorised users can define the job’s description, company information & employee benefits, location of the role, salary, job requirements, application instructions, and the end date of the advertising duration for the post (customers can also extend the duration or repost the job at a later date/time). Customers then preview the post in both mobile and desktop formats and edit it as necessary before publishing it to the Indeed platform. Customers using Premium Sponsored Jobs can further customise the job post with company branding.

Many other parts of the Indeed platform can be customised as well. The Employer Branding Hub is a suite of tools allowing employers to customise their Company Page with unique branding and content. Company Pages can be tailored with a wide range of branding elements, such as a company logo, header image, and square logo for mobile optimisation, detailed company description, industry classification, number of employees, location, and links to relevant websites or social media accounts. Employers can add custom content—such as videos, images, or text— to the “Why Join Us” section to highlight mission, benefits, DEI commitments, or workplace culture.

Scaling

Independence of resources
The Indeed platform is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS). To help ensure continuity of service delivery, Indeed leverages various resources of the AWS shared services model and relies on the experience and resources of AWS to scale quickly and securely as necessary to meet current and future demand. AWS holds ISO 27001, 27017, 27018, 27701, 22301, 20000, and 9001 certifications, and also provides SOC 1, 2, and 3 reports.

Other protection between networks
Indeed's public traffic endpoints all use TLS encryption, specifically TLS 1.2+, with AES and HMAC-SHA256, for data in transit. For AWS services, the API endpoints are TLS-encrypted; service-to-service traffic between Indeed services is protected by TLS, and where Indeed uses third-party SaaS providers, connections to these services are also protected by TLS.
Data protection within supplier network
TLS (version 1.2 or above)

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
No formal availability SLA is offered for our commercial SaaS; we operate the service on a commercially reasonable efforts basis and do not commit to uptime percentages or response/restoration time guarantees.

The Indeed platform is hosted on AWS, and our architecture is designed for availability and resiliency (multi‑AZ patterns, horizontal scaling) to minimise disruption.

No service‑credit scheme tied to availability is offered. Where appropriate, Indeed may consider adjustments at its discretion; any refunds or credits (if granted) are typically in the form of service credits per our terms.
Approach to resilience
Indeed uses AWS as our Cloud service provider. The production environment is configured with multiple AWS availability zones to provide automated failover services in the event of a primary Cloud zone failure. Indeed leverages various resources of the AWS shared services model and relies on the experience and resources of AWS to ensure resilience, scaling quickly and securely as necessary. Indeed is responsible for designing and configuring the Indeed platform architecture within AWS to ensure security, availability, and resiliency objectives are met.
Outage reporting
Indeed distributes outage notifications via email, support portals, or in-application banners, depending on the nature and scope of the outage.

Information security policies and processes
Each of Indeed’s security domains has its own respective security policies, standards, and procedures; however, our overarching Information Security Policy provides a framework for Indeed to protect and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Indeed’s data and technology assets; safeguard Indeed’s physical assets and appropriately manage physical security threats and risks; ensure alignment with legal and compliance standards; assure a secure and resilient information technology (IT) environment; manage and mitigate the risk of information security exposure or compromise; monitor for information security events that might indicate a threat or compromise; detect, preempt, and respond to information security incidents; and champion the importance of and increase awareness about information security across Indeed.

Led by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Security Officer (CSO), Indeed has a dedicated information security team responsible for security and compliance across the organisation.

Operational security

Configuration and change management standard
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Configuration and change management approach
Indeed’s Configuration and Change Management Policy outlines procedures for implementing secure configuration management standards and preventing the exploitation of system vulnerabilities for all technology platforms that support Indeed's business operations.

These processes and procedures ensure system and application changes are tested for potential impacts and approved prior to being deployed to production environments. We use both static and dynamic testing, as well as peer code review prior to deployment, and we utilise documented standard build procedures to deploy development, test, and production environments. We document and track code versioning, and Indeed maintains a hardware, software, and third-party (SaaS) inventory.
Vulnerability management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Vulnerability management approach
Indeed uses a risk-based strategy to outline standards for identifying and reducing vulnerabilities to all attack surfaces, preventing security breaches through a robust vulnerability and patch management program. We configure vulnerability scans to be performed continuously to detect and analyse security vulnerabilities; if identified, we propose remediation plans and monitor through resolution. We also regularly patch corporate and production systems, and operating systems within 14 days, using regular vulnerability scans and patch reporting to verify success. We also collect threat intelligence from both internal and external sources, and multiple internal teams analyse intelligence across all threat domains.
Protective monitoring type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Protective monitoring approach
Indeed uses monitoring, vulnerability scanning, SIEM, and structured response, encompassing containment, resolution, recovery, and post-incident analysis. Our monitoring applications track operational performance and system capacity and alert personnel of any potential issues. Additionally, anti-malware software on production servers and in-scope systems perform endpoint detection and security scans of monitored systems in real time, continuously.

Upon detection of an incident, we assess scope and severity and report them to stakeholders. We then work to contain spread and damage, resolve the incident, and recover normal operations. After recovery, we document remediation and mitigation plans and lessons learned to prevent similar incidents.
Incident management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example, CSA CCM v4.0 or ISO/IEC 27035:2011 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Incident management approach
Indeed conducts incident response exercises periodically to maintain awareness and preparedness in responding to real-world threats. Users can report suspected incidents through an internal site monitored by Indeed’s Security Team. In the event of a security incident, incident response procedures guide relevant personnel in reporting, communicating, and responding to security incidents. Additionally, Indeed has a broader framework for incident management, including an Incident Management Policy, Business Continuity Plans, and Disaster Recovery Plans. If a security incident affecting client data is confirmed, Indeed will notify affected clients without undue delay and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

What the ISO/IEC 27001 doesn’t cover
While our ISMS is comprehensive, the following areas are outside the specific boundaries of our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification: Physical Data Center Infrastructure - as the Indeed platform is hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS/Azure), the physical security of the underlying hardware and data centres is not covered by our certificate. These are covered under the Cloud provider’s own ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications. Non-R&D/Operations Locations - the certification specifically covers our Headquarters and global Research & Development/Operations hubs listed in our Scope of Registration. Administrative or satellite offices not involved in platform R&D or Security Operations are excluded. Client-Side Controls - the certification does not cover the security of the end-user’s environment, local network, or the management of user credentials on the client side.

What the PCI DSS doesn’t cover
While Indeed maintains PCI DSS v4.0.1 compliance for payment processing channels, excluded from the scope of this certification are: Physical Data Centre Infrastructure - Indeed uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting; physical security of hardware, data centres, and environmental controls are managed by AWS and covered under AWS’s PCI DSS Attestation of Compliance (AOC). Direct Possession of Cardholder Data (CHD) - Indeed’s platform design ensures cardholder data never enters our internal environment. We use Adyen’s payment integration (via iframe/Secure Fields), ensuring credit card data is transmitted directly from the user's browser to the payment processor. Storage and processing of raw CHD are outside Indeed's scope. Non-Payment Platform Services - our PCI scope is limited to the 'Indeed Payment Platform' and supporting infrastructure. Business units, internal corporate networks, and platform features that do not facilitate or impact security of payment transactions are logically isolated and excluded from the scope of this assessment. Paper-Based Records - Indeed does not receive, process, or store account data in physical/paper form. Client-Side (User) Environment - security of the end-user's local workstation, browser, and network used to access Indeed's services is the sole responsibility of the customer/user and is not covered by Indeed’s certification.
