- How the planning service works
-
Mason Advisory is a digital & technology transformation consultancy. We help you set and execute strategies that fully exploit the benefits of cloud. All our services start by getting to know you and ensuring your required outcomes are clear. We know what good looks like, and we use our extensive set of blueprints (benchmarking data, technology trends/insights, designs, processes and templates) to provide a tangible guide. But we also know that tailoring an approach to your needs is more effective than generic best-practice solutions.
Planning includes a fast-paced assessment of the current state, then applying our knowledge to create a clear roadmap and business case to achieve the outcomes you require. This ensures key decision makers understand the risks, costs and timings of the changes. - Planning service works with specific services

- How the training service works
- Technology alone will not add value. User adoption is essential to realise the intended benefits of cloud solutions. As part of our organisation change management service, Mason Advisory creates clear persona-based training and communication plans covering activities before, during and after launch. This ensures key user groups are fully ready to use the cloud solution. Working in conjunction with the cloud vendor, we execute training in line with client plans, delivery methods and timescales.

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
- Mason Advisory develops and executes test strategies and plans in alignment with client standards and cloud vendor standards – ensuring clear practices are defined to report, prioritise, resolve and retest any defects identified. The plans typically include unit testing/quality checks following initial configuration, systems testing, end-to-end user acceptance testing, load/stress/performance testing, post-implementation commission testing, and hypercare sign-off testing. This part of the service is designed to provide organisations with confidence that the solution delivers the intended outcomes and benefits.

Fighting climate change
Fighting climate change: we try to minimise our own adverse environmental impact, and advise buyers on how to do this in their own organisations. Our business measures & offsets GHG emissions, optimises travel, runs an electric vehicle scheme, and minimises waste by refurbishing & donating IT equipment to charities/schools. We also collaborate with buyers on measures that are important to them, e.g. for a government department we have offset all carbon emissions generated by our account team in the first 12 months.Covid-19 recovery
Covid-19 recovery: the impact of the pandemic is long lasting. As a digital & technology consultancy we helped our team and our clients to work more efficiently during lockdown, and continue to support related improvements.Tackling economic inequality
Tackling economic inequality: employers report a significant digital skills gap in the UK. We can help buyers engage with local schools and colleges to highlight the importance of digital skills; partner with buyers to provide digital skills mentoring and cyber checks for VCSEs; and supply refurbished IT equipment to VCSEs and schools to help overcome digital poverty (a barrier to digital skills).Equal opportunity
Equal opportunity: we can support training for buyers, e.g. for a government buyer we offer neurodiversity training to support more inclusive ways of working. We can also provide mentoring and coaching, mock interviews and CV reviews for under-represented groups seeking in-work progression.Wellbeing
Wellbeing: we are a centre of excellence for wellbeing through Great Place to Work (mental health first aiders, Headspace app, fitness challenges) and influence wellbeing on contracts by modelling positive practices. We also ensure that appropriate wellbeing measures are built into engagements such as mental health plans, reasonable adjustments and remote working.
