How the planning service works
Our Project Management service can be broken down into the following high-level areas:

We will follow ASAP or ACTIVATE methodologies, but can also adopt any customer defined standards where required, e.g. where the project is part of a wider programme of work.

An initial scoping exercise will be carried out to determine which systems are ear-marked for migration to cloud hosting, alongside any related technical, business, or scheduling dependencies.

Project activities and resource requirements will be defined, timelines discussed, and options proposed, such as migrating on a tier-by-tier basis (e.g. development, QA, production) or by software component (e.g. ECC, S/4HANA).

We will discuss how to support your production environment during the lifecycle of the project and plan how to cut over your production environment in within a window of available downtime.

A RAID log will be implemented and managed throughout the project delivery. Once the plan and scope has been defined and signed off, all exceptions, changes, and key decisions will be approved by the Project Governance Board, consisting of both customer and supplier representatives, and be subject to a project change control.

How the support service works
RISE with SAP Services: provide technical and security expertise to support your implementation of S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition. Augment your existing teams with SAP Basis and technical expertise and liaise with SAP CAS. Plan your mandatory maintenance cycles with SAP and keep on top of patching and top issues reported by SAP.

Fighting climate change

At Aliter Consulting, we are committed to becoming a leader in environmental protection and sustainability. We currently focus on promoting electric vehicles, using public transport, remote working, paperless office, and strive to continuously improve. Our long-term goal is to achieve measurable sustainability by 2030 and to hit Net Zero by 2050.

We plan to achieve this by focusing on developing innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future. This will involve research and development in areas like green technologies or sustainable business models. We believe transparency is crucial, so we will be reporting on our progress regularly. Additionally, we are open to collaborating with stakeholders to advance sustainability efforts across the industry. We view sustainability not just as the right thing to do, but also to future-proof our business for long-term success. We donate £50 per month to the Woodlands Trust to support re-forestation in England.

To hit these goals, we focus on three key areas: energy efficiency, resource management, and sustainable business practices. We aim to reduce our energy consumption by 50% by 2030 through upgrading equipment and using renewable energy sources. Our plan is to train 100% of staff on sustainability practices by 2024-Q4. We recognise and reward employees who go the extra mile in promoting environmental practices and include as a KPI that feeds into their bonus plans for 2025 and beyond. Additionally, we are implementing a resource management strategy that minimises waste and explores circular economy opportunities. Furthermore, we are encouraging sustainable business travel practices, collaboration with suppliers who share our commitment to environmental responsibility and have committed to investing in innovating green technologies. We have set ambitious but achievable reduction targets for each area and will be tracking and reporting on our progress regularly to ensure we meet our Carbon Reduction targets.

Covid-19 recovery

During COVID-19 Pandemic, we as a business were not of a substantial size for restrictions to impact our processes. We adhered to all restrictions where required. After the pandemic we allow staff in our Leeds office to hybrid work and all other staff work remotely with trips into the office twice monthly. We also delivered a fully remote SAP migration project, enabling our client to carry on their business as usual in unprecedented times

During COVID-19 we raised over £5000 for Motor Neurone Disease Association charity. We chose this charity as it is one close to our hearts and we can see the amazing work that they do and how important fundraising is to them. Our team along with family members completed a 24-mile walk known as the Knaresborough Round. We believe the money we donated helped research into MND continue during and shortly after COVID-19.
