- How the planning service works

Trackbase assists in creating strategy for the implementation of cloud hosting and/or software services by engaging with decision-makers through meetings and workshops. We ensure that projects align with the overarching objectives of your organisation and the specific vision of each project.
We begin with roadmap development working form the current state to the desired goal, based on your requirements. We employ Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, to ensure best effect.
Our team of experts work to ensure that complex requirements are comprehensively captured, distilled into manageable incremental updates, and steered towards successful delivery.
This is achieved by maintaining a focus on developing a minimum viable product or setup that can be deployed quickly, employing a flexible and efficient approach tailored to each organisation's needs. Regular progress meetings are held to provide updates, address risks, and adapt to changing priorities.
Our approach is grounded in understanding that cloud migrations depend heavily on a strong understanding of the underlying data and systems. Our team therefore take a domain-driven approach, specifically for rail cloud migration projects. - Planning service works with specific services

Our team collaborates from the initial problem statement phase with you, working collaboratively to develop optimal solutions and the most suitable setup.
Delivery then happens, either by transitioning from an existing setup you have or by constructing an entirely new platform based on your needs.
We aim to utilise advanced analytics solutions in various domains, including setup and migration strategies, platform selection, scalability architecture, security and architectural design choices.
Moreover, we recognise the importance of delivering alongside your existing teams, setups, environments, and processes, and we aim to approach these tasks collaboratively. Our standard cloud migration methodology encompasses the following steps:
Appointing a migration architect role
Determine the level of cloud integration (within or between cloud services)
Decide on single-cloud or multi-cloud deployment
Define cloud key performance indicators (KPIs)
Establish performance benchmarks
Prioritise migration components
Conduct necessary refactoring
Develop a data migration plan
Execute the production switch-over

For each project, we collaborate closely with our clients to implement a robust Quality Assurance (QA) approach. This encompasses:
Development of a comprehensive QA plan: At the project's outset, we establish agreement on which deliverables require review, by whom, and when.
Clarity in roles and responsibilities: Our governance process designates relevant team members with the overall responsibility for delivery, ensuring consistent quality throughout.
Reporting on risks and performance: We conduct regular progress meetings, typically on a weekly basis, and provide written project updates to communicate progress and address any issues or risks.
Provision of managed services: We offer additional managed services to provide ongoing QA support, encompassing service level agreements, continuous improvement initiatives, and service management activities such as incident management and resolution.
Performance testing of cloud platforms and services requires close coordination between the client and the Platform owner, taking into account any imposed constraints. Trackbase offer these services to facilitate, support, and/or manage aspects of this testing activity in alignment with the agreed scope and test strategy for the project.
