MMD Training Applications Service

MMD's G-Cloud Training Apps service enables Defence customers to support Space, Cyber Resilience, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Air Command and Control and Tactical Datalinks training programmes using cloud technologies. The service provides agile, interactive content for the Foundation stage of training that covers baseline concepts, principles, terminology and capabilities.

The MMD Training Applications Services provides buyers with the option to migrate Foundation level training and learning to cloud hosted platforms. Access to technology-enhanced learning material in the cloud maximises opportunities for varying paces of individual and collective study outside of the fixed classroom environment, using mobile devices and with dynamically up-gradable content.

How the quality assurance and performance testing works
The MMD Training Applications Service includes full quality assurance and performance testing as part of the design and setup. This is provided by MMD software and training specialists who work with buyers to ensure the design is compliant with cloud software standards and ISO business processes. Extensive performance testing is completed using the buyer's representative user experiences. Ongoing quality and performance support is then provided through the administrator service.

How the support service works
Within the MMD Training Applications Service, we provide help-desk and administrator support for our designed solutions, which use the Moodle platform. Our support includes the ability to upgrade content and address errors or weaknesses in the service, highlighted by the buyer's experience.

Metrea Mission Data is committed to considerate and sustainable business practices that reduce our impact on the environment. We understand the UK and wider global need to tackle climate change and are fully engaged with projects, learning programmes and activities to meet and exceed contract requirements.

Our published Carbon Reduction Plan is based on BS ISO50005:2021 standard and sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). It includes a commitment to achieving a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions from our baseline in 2021 by 2035, and zero by 2050.

Existing Provision

We have the following exiting provisions in place to support environmental provision:

• Provide staff with environmental awareness training to meet legal principles and follow organisational practices
• Internal communications (e.g. SharePoint) to highlight environmental good practice
• Encourage remote / flexible working to reduce the need for commuting and businesses travel
• Maximise use of web-based meetings to reduce associated business travel
• Provide a hybrid pool car for business travel
• Provide 2 days per year for all personnel to undertake volunteer work channelled to support local environmental initiatives.
• Provide a cycle and / or electrical vehicle sacrifice scheme to encourage staff to cycle to work and/or utilise electric vehicle usage
• Have electric charging points at all offices
• Switch off policy and signage throughout offices
• Follow the 3R’s Recycle, Replace Reuse principles across all business functions
• Any suppliers utilised by the business are assessed for their environmental credentials as part of our onboarding process.
