MMD Training Applications Service
MMD's G-Cloud Training Apps service enables Defence customers to support Space, Cyber Resilience, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Air Command and Control and Tactical Datalinks training programmes using cloud technologies. The service provides agile, interactive content for the Foundation stage of training that covers baseline concepts, principles, terminology and capabilities.

Our published Carbon Reduction Plan is based on BS ISO50005:2021 standard and sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). It includes a commitment to achieving a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions from our baseline in 2021 by 2035, and zero by 2050.
Existing Provision
We have the following exiting provisions in place to support environmental provision:
• Provide staff with environmental awareness training to meet legal principles and follow organisational practices
• Internal communications (e.g. SharePoint) to highlight environmental good practice
• Encourage remote / flexible working to reduce the need for commuting and businesses travel
• Maximise use of web-based meetings to reduce associated business travel
• Provide a hybrid pool car for business travel
• Provide 2 days per year for all personnel to undertake volunteer work channelled to support local environmental initiatives.
• Provide a cycle and / or electrical vehicle sacrifice scheme to encourage staff to cycle to work and/or utilise electric vehicle usage
• Have electric charging points at all offices
• Switch off policy and signage throughout offices
• Follow the 3R’s Recycle, Replace Reuse principles across all business functions
• Any suppliers utilised by the business are assessed for their environmental credentials as part of our onboarding process.
