Tackling economic inequality
GSS Ltd provides support to organisations to improve their digital offering taking a Service Design approach.
This inclusive, user led approach to change helps to increase digital inclusion which has been shown to improve economic inequality through reducing barriers to employment and economic advancement.
As part of the design process, we work with organisations to identify those voices which are less heard or more difficult to reach and design the engagement process to incorporate their involvement.
Our critical success factors focus on improving digital literacy and engagement both internally and where appropriate with external users.
GSS Ltd supports volunteering and the Director participates in a community mentoring programme supporting young people to positive destinations. Weekly mentoring sessions aim to improve opportunities for young people and reduce economic inequality within communities.Wellbeing
GSS Ltd undertake a service design approach to change, putting the user at the heart of the journey. Collaboration with users and communities are key to this with engagement taking the form of surveys, 1-2-1 interviews and workshops.
Any technology implementation is considered from the viewpoint of the various user within the system, to ensure an inclusive design. Engagement with users is undertaken throughout the process ensuring that it is meaningful and feedback is actionable.
Each organisation that works with us are asked to commit to the service design approach which supports the development of strong, integrated communities.
As facilitators of the change process, each project that we undertake includes an element of skills transfer where we are developing the understanding of service design and the importance of meaningful user engagement within the service design process. This ensures that community voices are heard and relationships are strengthened.
