Xynomix perform a cloud readiness assessment based upon the customers application and database requirements, working in conjunction with application providers.
We help you to identify your critical technical requirements, and pinpoint the database technologies that deliver the required functionality. We can recommend database solutions for private, hybrid and public cloud services such as Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud.
As Oracle and Microsoft Partners, and using our extensive knowledge developed in the industry over 20+ years, we make recommendations working alongside application vendors to bring the configuration of the databases in line with best practice, making them 'cloud ready'.
Migration to the cloud environment is fully scoped by our team of consultants which initially includes building a proof of concept leading to migrations of development and test through to production.
As a cloud agnostic supplier, Xynomix are happy to work with public and private cloud providers alongside hybrid solutions, making recommendations on the advantages that each solution presents.

Taking into account performance requirements, application and database versions and required functionality, Xynomix provides recommendations around the suitability of databases for private/public cloud.
Using our extensive Oracle and MS SQL Server knowledge developed in the business over 18+ years, making further recommendations to bring the configuration of the databases in line with best practice, making environments 'cloud ready'.

Xynomix has assisted many organisations in their move to the cloud across a number of platforms and database technologies. We work closely together with your project team, and formulate a testing plan to suit all parties, ensuring a stable and performant solution.
Throughout the project, we document our work through deliverables, including the Project Initiation Document, with separate Statements of Work that describe each of the activities needed to perform full performance and systems acceptance testing. The plan is used throughout the testing phase of the project; with lessons learnt allowing us to refine the process in readiness for the live migration. Using Statements of Acceptance at key project stages, Xynomix gain further insight and feedback from key stakeholders in the organisation to ensure successful quality assurance and performance testing.
Xynomix utilise our monitoring tools and database experience, to ensure the systems are installed and configured to best practices; addressing any database performance issues. This will also include the baseline of the existing systems, ensuring performance is consistent throughout the migration process.

Xynomix provides support for databases hosted in the cloud using our bespoke in-house developed monitoring software. Our team of Technical Consultants provide remote or on-site support for customers predominantly on either 9-5 or 24x7 basis either via our managed service contracts or through one-off consultancy.
Database issues are picked up directly by a Technical Consultant as part of the Xynomix service. This reduces any delay that 1st or 2nd line support can cause, ensuring prompt and swift communication and faster resolution times. Xynomix mitigate any risks to the customer by sharing the knowledge of their environment across our large pool of Technical Consultants. Our highly experienced team of Technical Consultants have 300 years combined experience of databases and the cloud.
To support our consultants and customers we use Freshdesk, a leading online support tool, and are currently undertaking a project which gives the customer the ability to log and update their own tickets through the online portal.
Xynomix assists a diverse range of organisations, from ISV, to large NHS Trusts and Councils in planning and executing new cloud implementations or migrations to the cloud, then providing support by ensuring continued stability, availability and efficiency of the databases.

For our managed service customers, Xynomix has an SLA approach with a proactive response time dependent on severity of the incident, as demonstrated below. Please note only P1s are supported out of hours.
Priority 1 - System down, users have no access, or critical impact to business - 30 minutes,
Priority 2 - Major impact to the features, or function of the environment - 1 hour
Priority 3 - Issue not impacting business availability - 4 hours

Xynomix separates costs into Support Costs and Cloud Consultancy Costs and further information is available in the Pricing Definition document.
Support Costs - For each service there is a base cost and then a range of Instances that allows you to take the base cost and then add the number of instances you require, whether that be for Gold or Silver service level and managed or non managed instances. We have provided volume discounts as the more instances you require support the per instance costs reduces.
Xynomix has 3 distinct teams, Technical, Service Delivery and Account Management. You will be assigned a dedicated account manager to ensure a good understanding of your organisation and this is regular feedback into the other teams. However to reduce single point of failures we ensure that a number of technical and service delivery colleagues have knowledge of your estate to ensure a seamless service.
