End-of-contract data extraction
The method of data extraction at the end of contract is dependent on the solution and this will be specified in the Statement of Work

For services delivered via Microsoft Azure under a CSP agreement, we will support the transfer of the CSP subscription to the Buyer’s chosen alternative CSP. All client data hosted on Azure will only be maintained while the Buyer continues paying for the service. Once services are terminated, we cannot guarantee that data will be retained or available for return.

Prior to the Call-Off Start Date, we provide a documented exit plan detailing decision points, Buyer actions, and timelines for subscription transfer and data extraction.
End-of-contract process
Our exit process ensures transparency and Buyer control.
1. Data Access and Retention.

2. Clear Exit Plan. Prior to the Call-Off Start Date, we provide a documented exit plan detailing decision points, Buyer actions, and timelines for subscription transfer and data extraction.

3. Terms and Pricing Transparency. Before contract award, we confirm any applicable terms and costs for extended retention or migration support.

4. Documentation Return. We will return Buyer documentation such as design documents and other records held on our systems. These deliverables will be scoped and agreed during service onboarding.

5. Governance and Communication. Exit activities follow a structured governance process with clear communication to ensure compliance and minimal risk. This approach provides a predictable, secure, and transparent exit.

Using the service

Web browser interface
Yes
Using the web interface
The Azure portal provides clients with a secure, browser-based web interface for managing their Azure services. Through the portal, users can set up the service by creating and configuring Azure subscriptions, deploying virtual machines, storage, and networking resources, and managing access permissions. Users can make changes such as scaling resources, adjusting configurations, monitoring usage, and managing billing information directly through the portal.

The portal enables users to implement security controls, set up compliance policies, and access real-time dashboards for monitoring and reporting. Role-based access control allows organisations to delegate specific administrative tasks to authorised users.

However, there are some limitations. Certain advanced configurations, integrations, or automation tasks may require the use of Azure PowerShell, CLI, or API rather than the web interface. Some actions, such as subscription transfers or escalated support requests, must be coordinated with Agilisys or Microsoft and cannot be completed solely through the portal. Additionally, users must have the appropriate permissions and licensing to access specific features or services.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Azure’s built‑in multi‑tenant isolation includes auto‑scaling and quota controls. Each customer’s workloads run on logically isolated compute, networking, and storage boundaries. Azure automatically provisions additional capacity when demand increases, while platform‑level throttling and per‑subscription limits stop other tenants from consuming shared resources excessively.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
As a reseller of Microsoft Azure, we rely on Microsoft’s published Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all Azure services. Microsoft guarantees high availability across its cloud platform, with specific uptime commitments varying by service (for example, many core services offer 99.9% or higher availability).

You can find Microsoft’s official Azure Service Level Agreements documentation here: https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/docs/view/Service-Level-Agreements-SLA-for-Online-Services?lang=1
Approach to resilience

Outage reporting
Public dashboard
Azure maintains a public Azure Status page showing global service health, including widespread incidents and historical data. Anyone can access it without authentication.

Personalised service health dashboard
Azure Service Health provides a personalized dashboard showing incidents, planned maintenance, and advisories affecting a customer’s specific subscriptions, services, and regions. It also provides real‑time updates and access to root cause analyses (RCAs).

Alerts & notifications
Users can configure custom alerts for incidents, maintenance, and advisories. Azure supports delivery through:
- Email
- SMS
- Push notifications
- Webhooks
- ITSM integrations (ServiceNow, PagerDuty, etc.)

Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels
Microsoft provides comprehensive access‑restriction capabilities for management interfaces and support channels, including RBAC, Privileged Identity Management, Conditional Access, tenant restrictions, and network‑level controls such as IP filtering.

Microsoft does not configure these restrictions by default. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to configure and operate these controls securely within their Azure environment. Buyers who require ongoing configuration, monitoring, and governance can opt in to the Agilisys Managed Cloud Service, available through G‑Cloud 15 Lot 3: Cloud Support, where Agilisys will implement and manage these security controls on their behalf.

Additional sources of cost
Prices for Microsoft Azure services under G‑Cloud 15 Lot 1a may change over time due to several factors beyond standard vendor rate adjustments. These include:

TUPE Obligations: Where the Buyer’s requirements necessitate the transfer of staff under TUPE regulations, associated employment costs may impact overall pricing.
Original Vendor Pricing: Microsoft may update its published Azure rates, and any changes will apply from the effective date stated by Microsoft.
Indexation: Adjustments linked to inflation or other agreed indexation mechanisms may apply.
Exchange Rate Adjustments: Microsoft periodically updates its GBP pricing to reflect changes in currency exchange rates, and these adjustments will apply from the published effective date.
Scope Changes: Any Buyer‑initiated changes to the scope of services, including additional workloads or functionality, will affect pricing.
Increased Consumption: Where the Buyer increases consumption of Azure services beyond the agreed baseline, additional charges will apply based on the applicable rates.
Bespoke Service Levels: Enhanced SLAs or custom performance commitments requested by the Buyer may incur additional charges.
Extended Support Hours: Where service support hours are increased beyond standard coverage, incremental costs will apply.
-
Additional sources of cost reduction
Pricing for Microsoft Azure services under G‑Cloud 15 Lot 1a may decrease under certain circumstances, including:

Reduced Scope: Where the Buyer reduces the scope of services, such as removing workloads or functionality, overall costs will decrease.
Lower Consumption: If the Buyer consumes fewer Azure resources than the agreed baseline, charges will reduce accordingly.
TUPE Adjustments: Where TUPE obligations initially applied but are later removed or reduced, associated employment costs will decrease.
Service Level Changes: Downgrading bespoke SLAs or reverting to standard service levels can reduce costs.
Support Hours Reduction: Limiting service support hours to standard coverage may lower incremental charges.
Exchange Rate Adjustments: If Microsoft updates GBP pricing to reflect favourable exchange rate movements, reductions will apply from the published effective date.
Indexation: Where indexation mechanisms result in downward adjustments, pricing may reflect these decreases.
