How the planning service works
We plan services with customers through workshops, focussing on key deliverables. We look at how to automate outcome generation.

We look at analytics to create plans for scaling and initial reserved capacity for processing the website. We also look for spike patterns to account for reserved capacity where needed.

We create network plans and hosting architecture for each service with you.

For onboarding we collect the site's existing resources from other providers in standard ways, providing secure resources for data exchange in a simple manner.

Offboarding to other providers is a simple export of hosting rules, database, code for the Drupal site and the Drupal assets in a standard format that can be directly imported by other providers. It can be delivered by any secure internet medium or by hard drive delivery if requested.

We provide user video and live training for the software that we provide. This usually takes place over video conferencing. We record the video conferencing training sessions and provide them to you. Training takes roughly an hour per major feature. Training is performed at our standard rates.

How the setup or migration service works
When building new cloud hosting environments we rely on the Hashicorp software. This allows us to define infrastructure as code. We produce a container best practice infrastructure. This has many benefits:
1) Most of the environments are the responsibility of the cloud provider. The cloud then replaces broken elements;
2) Databases and servers move into the management of the cloud provider;
3) Releases create artefacts that the cloud provider uses to provision service.
4) Environments are throw-away-and-recreate friendly.

Automating infrastructure and releases to applications allows simultaneous release of infrastructure and product. This practice also provides autoscaling of services during peak and low demand.

In migrating services we use tools that enable concurrent or partial service migration.

We create releases directly from git branches / tags to release to production or have specific release triggers such as Github/Azure Devops release note creation.

How the support service works
We support the Drupal services hosted within our AWS accounts. We support Azure, AWS and Google Cloud accounts that contain services that we are running. We do not provide specific support for other applications in the accounts as we prefer an account to be specific to an application. We support it using phone, email and ticketing systems and can set up automatic alerting and logging options to support the ongoing support work.

For critical site down issues and urgent bugs, we will review and provide an initial response within 2 hours of the issue having been reported by email or telephone. We will provide updates on an expected resolution and any further investigation or development work that may be required following the initial fix.
