- How the planning service works

Our planning services help buyers effectively plan for cloud ERP Finance, HR, Worforce Management and Procurement (SaaS) implementations.Establishing a clear vision is critical for a successful implementation, not only in terms of technical adoption and alignment with your cloud strategy but also organisational and process adoption. The vision helps to articulate the value that you are looking to add to your business aims and organisational structure.
The planning phase provides a detailed definition of project delivery including scope, structure, roles, work streams, risk management and delivery approach. This will include an appropriate testing approach and the management of vendors or specialists as required.
Key outputs from the planning service include: a vision statement and principles, project initiation documents, implementation project plan, resource plan, benefits realisation plan and a change management plan.
Our approach is to bring together our extensive experience of developing, implementing and operating or managing IT services across different functions and suppliers along with our project and programme management methodology and toolset. This includes programme mobilisation; programme scoping and planning; establishing and implementing programme governance arrangements; facilitating stakeholder involvement and decision making; defining and implementing the Programme Management Office (PMO); programme assurance activities and programme closure activities. - Planning service works with specific services

FifthQuadrant can provide support services for all cloud-based software solutions delivered to the buyer as part of this service - which are tailored during the planning stage. FifthQuadrant's Application Managed Services (AMS) support capabilities are based upon industry best practices cloud support models, including CMMI and ITIL-based service processes. We review the buyers existing support capabilities, and provide an assesment on the additional support required to supplement any support provided by the SaaS vendor. FifthQuadrant's support TOMs are designed to integrate with the buyers' IT Service Management Toolset. We can run and support buyers in running tenders for third-party AMS support or we can be contracted directly to provision such support.
The stated ITIL objective is to restore normal operations as quickly as possible with the least possible impact on either the business or the user, at a cost-effective price. The exact scope of support services is agreed on a case-by-case basis to match buyer needs, and can include:
* Second or third-line support for users
* Continuous delivery of bug fixes and enhancements
* Monitoring of user feedback, and maintenance of a backlog of enhancement/improvement needs
* Continuous improvement services to address further needs

Fighting climate change
We have sought to make broad changes to the way we operate to reduce our climate impact:
· moving to a 100% remote working model to reduce travel
· moving to a paperless office model
· including sustainability as a key component of our purchasing and supplier decisionsCovid-19 recovery
During, and following the pandemic we have:
· sought to provide opportunities for individuals and communities impacted by the pandemic, such as hiring staff who had been made redundant due to Covid-19 and
· provided extended payment terms to customers facing difficulties in settling invoices and working with customers to ensure that their cash-flow can be managed
· provided additional support to our employees and our customers in terms of physical and mental health. For example, before being legislated, we immediately invoked a work from home model. We also provided additional paid time off and added flexibility to job roles in terms of location, hours and unexpected absences.
· provided opportunities for staff to keep in touch over voice and video calls, to reduce isolationTackling economic inequality
We have sought to tackle economic inequality through a number of means:
· we have employed apprentices through the National Apprenticeship scheme and through Kickstart
· we have taken on employees on a contract basis from sectors impacted recently by unemployment such as construction
· we have sought to pay our suppliers ahead of the agreed payment terms to support their cash-flow positionsEqual opportunity
We are committed to providing equal opportunities for employees, customers and suppliers:
· we worked remotely with a customer whose employee was hearing impaired. We adopted changes in our video conferencing approach that ensured that captioning was available and accurate
· we currently employ a diverse workforce of mixed abilities and embrace the strength and breadth that this brings to our businessWellbeing
Wellbeing is of paramount importance to us, for our employees, customers and suppliers:
· particularly during the pandemic and then afterwards, we have been focused on providing employees, customers and suppliers with the opportunities to support their mental and physical health by for example, adjusting timelines to accommodate increases in personal commitments.
· we are signed up to the Mental Health at Work Commitment and are employing the recommendations provided
