We assign support teams based on each client’s real estate market. Our annual software license fees include an annual block of support hours via a toll-free hotline, email, and our support website during local business hours. These included hours are enough for most clients, but extended support can be purchased in blocks. We prioritise issues based on their impact on the client’s business and aim to respond to all urgent requests within two hours. Market-based teams provide daily support, inform clients of new features and updates, and coordinate issue resolution with the development and Cloud teams.
You will also be assigned a technical account manager. A team of 240 Yardi professionals, including cloud support engineers, ensures rotating 24-hour coverage of the Yardi Cloud. Clients receive 24/7 technical assistance via our hosting hotline. - Support available to third parties

Onboarding and offboarding
- Getting started
-
Yardi tailors a training plan to each client’s unique needs to establish user proficiency before go-live. Our system’s unified interface will help your team to use the software confidently and quickly.
Implementation Training
On-site training introduces new users to the software. Users split into functional groups so classes can target each group’s needs and processes. Classes use client-specific training environments and samples of your actual data. Although we can train your entire user community, we can also just train select users, who in turn teach their colleagues (train the trainer).
Online Training
Short, focused online classes offer an interactive learning experience without the need for travel. Webinars are ideal for quick refreshers or specific process overviews and benefit new and experienced users.
Self-Directed Training
We deliver electronic user guides and online help for independent study. Application documentation and online help are task-based and focus on our clients’ processes. User guides include step-by-step instructions with screen shots to help users complete real-life workflows. Our support website, Yardi Client Central, also includes a large library of free training videos, materials from our user conferences, and other resources your employees can review at their own pace. - Service documentation

A key benefit of our SaaS platform is the ease with which clients can increase processing capacity. Our data centres always maintain excess capacity, so you can add users, properties, and functionality quickly as demands increase. No matter how rapidly your organisation grows, the Yardi network always hosts enough servers to meet all of our clients’ needs.
Yardi’s metric is to deliver at least 99.9% Yardi Cloud availability. We use specialised tools to track performance statistics. We also perform weekly accessibility testing. Yardi Client Central provides a cloud dashboard to let clients monitor platform metrics.

Data importing and exporting
- Data export approach
- We offer Yardi ETL, our import/export tool, to interface with various third-party systems. It extracts data from foreign systems; transforms it into a logical value recognisable to Yardi table structures; and loads the external data into Yardi Voyager tables. It also exports in the same manner. The granular format allows you to pinpoint most Yardi Voyager tables and fields without writing SQL, web services, or custom import/export scripts. Yardi ETL is perfect for data conversions and daily feeds or imports.

Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
- Yardi’s metric is to deliver at least 99.9% Voyager Licensed Program Yardi Cloud Availability. “Yardi Cloud Availability” is a cumulative measure of Voyager Licensed Program availability in the Yardi Cloud, outside of the standing maintenance hours, and excepting where such availability is affected by Client’s activities, routines, etc. in, or connecting to, the Yardi Cloud. Performance credits are available on a case-by-case basis.

Site & Network Redundancy
Backup generators at each data centre ensure uninterrupted power supply (UPS) in the event of power failures. Similarly, data centres have redundant heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) so that hardware failure will not compromise the controlled server environment essential for optimal system performance. In addition, multiple tier-one carriers and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) connectivity ensure uninterrupted internet access for each data centre.
System Backups
We replicate each client’s database in real time to a parallel database server with automatic failover capabilities. Incremental transactional backups support point-in-time database restores. We make complete backups every night and place them on a secure FTP server, from which clients can authorise an internal user to download the files. We store backups in a secure, off-site location whose security is reviewed annually.
Business Continuity Plan
Yardi replicates transactions and default paths for every live client database to a standby server at a geographically remote sister centre, using a secure VPN connection. We offer a recovery point objective (RPO) of two hours in case of a major incident. We will restore client data within eight hours (RTO). - Outage reporting
- Yardi notifies affected clients when it becomes aware of an outage and in accordance with our incident response procedures. Clients can select to receive notifications on cloud performance, such as outages, from Yardi Client Central, our support website.

Comprehensive security features and procedures safeguard Yardi clients’ data. Site security at data centres includes on-premises security personnel, continuous video surveillance, screening of all people entering or exiting the premises, and 24-hour monitoring of server operations. We contract with security experts to perform penetration tests. Our security model includes the following layers:
• Transport Layer Security (TLS). Data sent over the internet is always encrypted.
• Intrusion Prevention Systems and Multiple Firewalls. These control the type of information servers transmit and receive. Web application firewalls and data loss prevention software enhance our service.
• Virus and Malware Protection. Real-time anti-virus and anti-malware software safeguards all servers.
• Active Directory Security. This ensures that all users can access only their organisation’s applications. Folder access is based on client-defined permissions.
• Database Authentication and Name Encryption. The system authenticates all login attempts. We encrypt database names to ensure client anonymity.
• User-Defined Access. Your system administrator can define idle periods for session timeouts and authorise users to access program features and reports.
• User-Defined Password Expiration. Your organisation’s system administrator can define how often users must change their system passwords to conform to internal protocol.
