How the training service works
As part of our project process, we meticulously create peer-reviewed documentation. This documentation is made available to our customers before they undertake their User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The content and purpose of these documents can vary based on the specific project and the client's requirements. However, they typically encompass the following:

1. User Guide: This guide is specifically tailored for content editors and administrators. It provides detailed instructions on how to interact with the system, manage content, and perform administrative tasks.
2. Classroom Exercises: These materials are designed to support classroom training sessions. They include content entry exercises that help users practice and reinforce their understanding of system functionalities.
In addition to documentation, we offer both classroom and one-on-one training courses:
- Administrator Training: Geared toward super users and administrators, this training covers essential administrative activities. Topics include user maintenance, system housekeeping, security protocols, and other administrative tasks.
- Content Editor Training: Intended for individuals responsible for maintaining content within the system, this training is practical and hands-on. It is complemented by the "classroom exercises" document mentioned earlier, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

How the setup or migration service works
ClerksWell can provide a full migration service, from help with choosing and planning the right tools, through to performing the tasks of transferring data, code and infrastructure configuration. We can also offer training in use of the new systems if necessary.

Our approach to how a migration should be performed is bespoke to each client. We can determine what automated tools are available for a particular migration scenario. If they will provide business benefit and speed up the process we will make use of these as part of the migration workflow. Where pre-existing tools are not available, or where there they cannot be shown to provide business benefit, we can perform a wholly custom migration.

Our flexible approach copes well with scenarios where the migration requires changes to underlying configuration or data structures. Automated tools are less effective at dealing with these issues, but our experienced staff can ensure the migrated systems are configured optimally for your needs.

Functional Behaviour and Configuration Testing:
• Before release, we will thoroughly test functional behaviour and configuration in an iterative manner.
• SharePoint’s nature allows easy resolution of issues since the intranet primarily relies on configuration rather than custom code that would require a structured and time-consuming SDLC.
Content Migration Testing:
• We verify successful content migration using a combination of checklists, spot-checks, and correlation of document and other asset counts in libraries.
Performance Testing Approach:
• Formal performance testing is generally not conducted.
• The new intranet’s performance heavily depends on Microsoft and Azure, beyond our direct control.
• However, we proactively identify scenarios where large data volumes might impact configured elements (e.g., document library views) and ensure thorough checks.
In summary, while we focus on configuration-based solutions, we remain vigilant about potential performance bottlenecks.

Our support offering is very flexible and completely tailored to our customers’ requirements. We have clearly delineated support levels based on the priority rating of the issues (this is decided by the customer).
Our support costs are dictated by the hours required and are based on our standard day rate. If 24/7, weekend support, or simply an extension of our standard 9-5 support hours we will arrange this based on the individual requirement of the customer.
