How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Our Learning Design Managers (including three 'Learning Designer of the Year' award winners at the Learning Technologies Awards) carry out quality assurance on all assets to ensure that designs are based on adult learning principles.

All assets are then put through User Acceptance Testing across browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and devices (PC, laptop, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android phone).

Issues are identified and rectified before delivery to you, the client.

Our technical partnership with our software development partners allows for escalation of issues and quick remediation.

Hosting interactive SCORM-compliant e-learning requires that your organisation have a SCORM-compatible Learning Management System (LMS). Surveys, interviews and focus groups require access to your colleagues (with your/their consent). Bespoke development requires typically two or three scoping calls and your periodic review of materials during asset creation.

All clients receive the same level of support, with a dedicated learning experience designer/project manager the main point of contact throughout your project.

Issues can be escalated if required to our Head of Learning Experience or Head of Custom Sales.

Following delivery of a project, bug fixes are carried out at no cost. Edits, enhancements or new content can be carried out at £800 per day, or costed as a new project.

Fighting climate change

Mind Tools has an 'Eco Squad' that is responsible for identifying opportunities to tackle climate change. We are a remote-first company with all employees working from home since Covid-19.

Tackling economic inequality

Mind Tools has a 'Charity Squad' to lead on charity activities. All employees are given a Volunteer day allowance of two days per person per year. We also make no use of zero-hours contracts.

Equal opportunity

We offer a clear, flexible working policy and process, enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave, a flexible approach to home and shared office space working (this began prior to the COVID-19 pandemic), and additional paid leave available to carers and those with significant personal commitments, e.g., moving house, getting married, first day of school for a child, or graduation event. We also pay a monthly work-from-home allowance for all employees.

Wellbeing

We have 'Social' and 'Wellbeing' Squads set up to promote activities. We also have an Employee Assistance Program, including a 24-hour assistance helpline accessible to all employees. We have also trained and certified mental health first aiders within the teams. We provide additional paid leave to carers and those with significant personal commitments, e.g., moving house or sabbatical leave. We support the encouragement of continuous development, including a learning and development allowance per employee each year, e.g., encouragement to attend external courses, webinars, etc. Our performance management process includes precise goal setting and review to encourage learning and constructive one-on-one conversations. This last item includes time dedicated to discussing career and growth aspirations.
