- How the planning service works
- Migration of services to the Cloud requires careful planning. Our client focused team has extensive experience in supporting migration to enterprise-scale cloud services within the Public Sector. Crear provide planning support in three related areas: Cloud Strategy, Cloud Transformation and Cloud Procurement. In all areas we follow our three-step approach; Discover, Design and Create. Working with key stakeholders to understand the business, we translate this into a meaningful cloud strategy that is focused on delivering business value. This ensures the client has a clear view of where it wants to get to and how to get there using a defined product road map. This enables the client to focus resources on areas delivering maximum benefit at the lowest cost and minimised risk. Based on the Cloud Strategy Crear work with the client to plan migration to the cloud. This isn’t a simple lift and shift but focuses on the transformation required to deliver the full benefits available from cloud services. Crear recognise that procurement of cloud services is complex and clients are faced with a multitude of options. Our procurement specialists have worked with multiple clients to plan the procurement of cloud services required to implement the cloud strategy.

- How the setup or migration service works
- Crear provide setup and migration services in two related areas: Cloud Transformation and Cloud Procurement. The primary goal of Cloud Transformation is to implement the client’s Cloud Strategy, this can range from supporting the transition of a single service through to transition of multiple solutions and services. We target opportunities to use the transition to enable transformation of services, ensuring they deliver value to your business, value to your users and value to your clients. Crear provide practical project management services supporting efficient deployment of cloud services. Our project management approach blends standard Project Management methods with industry specific expertise. Our team are experienced project managers, and we have a library of best practice documents based on the delivery of multiple cloud projects. Procurement of a Cloud Service cannot be approached in the same way as traditional IT infrastructure. Migration to a cloud service has unique challenges and considerations. Crear has a structured process and standard documentation to support the procurement and we can support the full procurement lifecycle making complex procurement simple and effective. Our approach ensures that projects are delivered successfully to agreed quality, timescales and resources; resulting in services that meet the defined business requirements.

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
- Crear has developed a Best Practice Model for IT services. This model is based on our team’s experience and knowledge gained from delivering numerous IT and cloud projects. The model includes a comprehensive set of standard processes and documents together with example service configurations. A key component of our documentation is a set of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators. These have been developed and refined based on our experience of implementing high quality cloud services. They represent a comprehensive set of measures that ensure services meet defined and measurable service targets. Using these measures as a baseline, we work with our customers to develop appropriate and relevant performance measures for their Cloud Services. These measures ae then used to measure the quality and performance of the Cloud Service. In addition, and in collaboration with the customers, we support implementation of an on-going governance programme ensuring service targets are meet throughout the life of the service.

- How the support service works
- Crear provide on-going Service Delivery Management support for Cloud Services. Active Service Delivery Management is central to delivery of benefits and the long-term success of any Cloud Service. Crear can manage services provided by 3rd parties to ensure service levels are fully maintained and meet contractual obligations. Based on our Best Practice Model we focus on two areas; Structure and Management Information. Structure focuses on setting up the governance processes to manage the service. This includes defining the people and processes required to effectively manage service delivery. A critical element of this is regular supplier meetings to review service performance (against agreed SLA’s/KPI’s), open issues, benefits realisation, service improvement and technology updates. Where a supplier has failed to meet performance targets, we work with them to develop and implement a remediation plan. Crear can fully manage this process or offer Subject Matter Expertise to support in-house contract managers. Management Information focuses on the information required to effectively manage service performance. Based on our Best Practice Model we have defined a set of core indicators that are used to measure performance. This information forms a fundamental part of measuring service performance and ensuring cloud service providers meet their contractual obligations.

Fighting climate change
At Crear Group Limited, we are dedicated to integrating sustainable practices across our IT management solutions, actively contributing to the fight against climate change. Our strategic approach includes managing our IT infrastructure and business operations to minimise energy consumption and maximise the use of renewable energy sources, thereby reducing our carbon footprint and working towards net zero greenhouse gas emissions.
We prioritise the adoption of procurement strategies that assess the environmental impact of products and services, promoting the use of recycled materials and stringent environmental standards in waste management. This commitment not only enhances the sustainability of our supply chain but also delivers additional environmental benefits throughout the lifecycle of our contracts.
Furthermore, we actively engage our employees, suppliers, clients, and the broader community in our environmental initiatives. Through targeted education and influence, we encourage the adoption of green policies within their own operations. We provide ongoing training on environmental issues to raise awareness and drive action towards environmental protection and improvement.
By embedding these practices into every aspect of our operations, Crear Group Limited ensures that our commitment to environmental stewardship is evident in the tangible benefits we deliver through our contracts. This approach not only helps in reducing greenhouse gases but also supports a broader cultural shift towards sustainability that extends beyond our immediate business activities.Covid-19 recovery
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Crear Group Limited has focused on supporting local communities and businesses in navigating the challenges posed by the crisis. Our initiatives include offering subsidised IT consultancy to organisations and small businesses, facilitating their transition to digital platforms essential for continuity during and post-pandemic. This is particularly targeted at high-growth sectors such as technology and healthcare, where the demand for digital skills has surged.
We have implemented targeted training and upskilling programs designed to enhance employability and support workforce reintegration. These programs focus on digital skills that are critical in today's job market, ensuring participants are well-equipped to contribute to economic recovery.
Furthermore, we have adapted our work practices to support the mental and physical health of our employees and the wider community. This includes introducing flexible working arrangements that allow for social distancing and remote work, thus maintaining productivity while ensuring safety. We have also partnered with mental health organisations to provide our staff and their families with access to mental health resources and support, helping them cope with the pandemic's psychological impacts.
To improve workplace conditions further, we have enhanced our IT infrastructure, enabling more robust and sustainable remote working solutions. This adjustment not only supports our employees but also sets a precedent for other businesses to follow, contributing to a broader societal shift towards sustainable and resilient working environments.
By taking these comprehensive steps, Crear Group Limited is actively contributing to a resilient recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting both economic stability and the well-being of individuals and communities.Tackling economic inequality
Crear Group Limited is committed to tackling economic inequality by creating meaningful opportunities within underrepresented communities and diversifying our supply chain. Our approach includes offering internships and apprenticeships to individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring they gain relevant, employable skills through collaboration with local educational institutions.
We recognise the importance of growing opportunities in our supply chain as essential to fostering a diverse, resilient economy. We are dedicated to engaging new businesses, entrepreneurs, start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), voluntary community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), and mutuals, providing them with the same opportunities afforded to us in tendering for public services contracts.
Our procurement practices are designed to support small and local businesses, boosting economic growth within the communities we serve. We implement a transparent procurement process that provides equal opportunities for all potential partners, ensuring tendering information is accessible and understandable.
Additionally, we provide capacity-building resources such as workshops and mentoring sessions covering business development, financial planning, and project management. We maintain ongoing dialogue with our associates, collecting feedback to continually improve our engagement and support their growth.
We champion entities that promote local employment and contribute positively to their communities. Our commitment extends to supporting our partners in implementing sustainable practices, contributing to a greener economy and supporting the UK’s Net Carbon Zero target.
By actively monitoring and reviewing our supply chain policies, we ensure effective implementation and adapt to evolving business landscapes, aligning with the UK Government’s goals of promoting a vibrant, diverse, and resilient economy.Equal opportunity
Crear Group Limited is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all operations. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking, complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and requiring that our suppliers adhere to our Code of Conduct, which prohibits slave labour and upholds values of diversity and integrity.
Our recruitment processes are designed to prevent coercion and exploitation, with thorough checks to ensure all employees' eligibility to work in the UK. We engage third-party services that adhere to modern slavery laws, ensuring these principles are maintained throughout our network.
We cultivate a workplace that values diversity and respect, ensuring all personnel are free from discrimination, harassment, and victimisation. Our grievance and disciplinary procedures address incidents robustly, possibly leading to contract termination for serious cases.
Our practices comply with the Equality Act, focusing on merit-based decisions and safeguarding against forced labour. We conduct external audits and hold certifications that validate our adherence to EDI standards. We periodically review our employment practices to ensure they meet legal and best practice standards and use technology to support unbiased recruitment.
Crear partners with organisations that advance EDI, extending our impact. We maintain transparent feedback mechanisms, such as surveys and town halls, to evaluate our EDI initiatives' effectiveness and promote inclusive dialogue.
By regularly monitoring workforce composition and assessing our EDI policy's performance, we ensure that our actions not only meet statutory requirements but also reflect our core values, aligning with the expectations of our clients and communities.Wellbeing
At Crear Group Limited, we prioritise the wellbeing of our employees and the wider community. Our comprehensive wellbeing programs include initiatives focused on mental health, such as stress management workshops and access to counselling services. We recognise the impact of person-to-person interaction on mental wellbeing and thus, actively support the mental health of all team members and stakeholders. This is key to maintaining physical health, safety, social, and personal productivity.
We promote a balanced work-life approach by offering flexible working arrangements where practicable, and we ensure a culture where bullying, harassment, discrimination, and racism are not accepted. Inclusion is one of Crear’s core values, and we establish this culture from the onset through our onboarding process, promoting it in all interactions.
We also provide training for all associates to raise awareness of everyday factors, such as stress and excessive workload, that undermine mental health. Managers and supervisory staff are trained to promote a good working environment, and we implement initiatives to enable staff to discuss mental health issues openly without fear of discrimination or reprisal.
Community engagement activities are integral, encouraging team involvement in local wellness events and partnerships with organisations focused on health and wellbeing. Our commitment extends to ensuring that our business practices promote general health, safety, and wellbeing.
