Planning
- Planning service
- Yes
- How the planning service works
- Planning the deployment of the Azure VMware Solution (AVS) requires a systematic approach to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. Firstly, we would work with your teams to comprehensively assess your organization's existing VMware infrastructure, including hardware specifications, networking configurations, and storage requirements. Next, we would then identigy and define clear objectives for migrating to AVS, such as enhancing scalability, reducing operational costs, or improving disaster recovery capabilities.

Migration to Azure to leverage the Azure VMware Solution (AVS) involves several key steps to ensure a smooth transition of on-premises VMware workloads to the Azure. Firstly, we assess the existing VMware infrastructure to identify workloads suitable for migration and determine their dependencies. We discover, assess, and replicate on-premises VMs to AVS and perform pre-migration validation tests to identify and address any potential compatibility issues or performance concerns.
Once validated, initiate and monitor the migration progress and track any errors or issues that may arise during the process. After the migration is complete, we verify the integrity and functionality of migrated workloads to ensure they operate as expected in the Azure environment. Post-migration optimisation will be conducted to fine-tune resource allocation, networking configurations, and security settings for optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Decommissioning of the on-premises VMware infrastructure and establishing ongoing management and monitoring processes for the migrated workloads in AVS is configured.
This comprehensive approach to migration using AVS enables organisations to seamlessly transition their VMware workloads to the cloud while minimising downtime and ensuring business continuity. - Setup or migration service is for specific cloud services

Fighting climate changeFighting climate change
Microsoft Azure is committed to fighting climate change through various initiatives. One of the ways Azure fights climate change is by using renewable energy sources to power its data centers. Azure has set a goal to be powered by 100% renewable energy by 2025. Additionally, Azure is working to improve energy efficiency in its data centers, reducing the overall carbon footprint. Azure also offers its customers tools and resources to help them reduce their own carbon footprint, such as the Microsoft Sustainability Calculator, which helps customers understand and reduce their carbon emissions associated with their cloud workloads.
