What users can and can't do using the API
The API is typically limited for system to system integration, allowing the consumption of data from ANPR cameras. Only approved devices will be allowed to send information, and this will be using TLS encryption. We do not allow users to change the configuration using the API, and it is restricted externally to data consumption.

Configuration and change management approach
The configuration and change management process ensures operational systems, services and application software are subject to change control. All staff are responsible for submitting completed change requests to the change control board (CCB) using the change request form. Change requests forms, before submission to the CCB must be peer reviewed and pre-authorised by the appropriate system service owners and or stake holder. All changes are recorded, tested and verified prior to implementation and are communicated to relevant members of staff and users as appropriate.

We have a robust risk management programme in place which is audited both internally and externally. We enrage with Police Data Services and provide a Third Party Assurance for Policing submission to support this activity. We contract a dedicated SOC organisation to provide active monitoring via a managed SIEM, and engage them to carry out regular penetration testing. In addition we have software running to monitor for any unusual activity.

Covid-19 recovery

"During the Covid pandemic and since we put in place a a number physical and mental health support activities for our staff affected by COVID-19, this included regaulr 1 to 1's with their manager and the HR team, we also provided regular updates including email newslettr wihich incldudee a range of NHS support materials and online Occupational health resource which supported staff and reduced the demand on health services.
Our staff were a mixture of key workers who did and continue to attend customers sites as well as those who worked from home during COVID and since have adopted Hybrid working with WFH being the default, therefore reducing time and travel."
