Many organisations will operate in a multi-modal landscape as they migrate to the cloud, programmes and projects will iterate cloud services. At the same time, legacy IT estates still provide the organisation's core data. Each activity requires a different approach and skill set, from investment cases, development teams and security through to license and subscription models and operational service management.
Perago provides a comprehensive service that supports organisations adapt to the needs of their users. From Discovery to Live, we enable you to understand your user needs and business requirements. Fighting climate change
We are committed to supporting Government plans to be carbon net-zero by 2050, with a view to the organisation being carbon neutral by 2025.
We are working with M-Sparc to understand our carbon footprint and the actions we can put in place to reduce or mitigate our impacts through offsetting significantly. We will also produce an annual Carbon Reduction Plan to quantify and track our carbon footprint and reiterate our carbon reduction policies and goals.
We have a clear sustainability strategy, which includes:
-Having well maintained buildings and facilities.
-Promoting virtual working when possible.
-Recycling, reusing and repairing our IT equipment.
-Promoting public transport, walking and cycling over car journeys.
-Reducing waste and thorough recycling solutions in place.
-Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice to encourage the use of electricity not oil where possible.
-Cycle to work salary sacrifice to encourage active travel.Covid-19 recovery
During the Covid-19 pandemic we quickly moved to become a remote based organisation by providing staff with all the necessary equipment to work from home during this period. We ensured that all staff remained working from home throughout the pandemic and did not return to the office/co-working environment until all social distancing measures had been removed by the national and local government.
Following the end of all Covid-19 related social distancing regulation, Perago implemented a hybrid working policy. Whilst we do have physical office space our teams are provided autonomy over where they work; they have the option to work from home, remotely, on client site or at the Perago office to best suit each employee’s individual needs. Furthermore, we offer flexibility to those managing caring and parenting responsibilities, including enhanced adoption leave, flexible working patterns, and special leave to cater for any dependant’s needs all of which helps staff adapt to the return to office/co-working environments and deal with additional responsibilities.
Perago put in place signposting to appropriate support for any person in the team that has been affected either physically or has had their mental health impacted by Covid-19. This policy continues in the post-Covid-19 environment with staff being able to access support services, to support their wellbeing. This support includes an Employee Assistance Programme which ensures that all employee’s mental health is prioritised.
To aid the wider communities Covid-19 recovery we offer our staff one day’s paid leave per year to volunteer with community projects or charities while also funding small community and voluntary organisations, such as Matthews House, Swansea MAD and Llamau. Many such charities had significant donation decreases during the peak of the pandemic hence we hope that our support can help them plug any such gaps and continue helping those least fortunate in society.Tackling economic inequality
We are an organisation that is proud to be a 'Living Wage' employer and are working with the Living Wage Foundation to become an accredited Living Wage employer.
We also work with local colleges and Universities to support people to work through industry placements and apprenticeships. When recruiting, we work with organisations representing disadvantaged/underrepresented communities. We ensure that all opportunities we advertise reach a broad audience and actively encourage applications from those from underrepresented communities.

Funding small community and voluntary organisations, such as Matthews House, Swansea MAD and Llamau. We work with local organisations such as Swansea MAD, Ethnic Minorities and Youth Support and The Centre for African Entrepreneurship to advertise roles within underrepresented communities.
As part of our commitment to the geographical areas where we work, we recognise our obligation to support the local economy. Initiatives such as mentorship programs, community outreach, and partnerships with local organisations contribute to our positive impact on the broader community. We actively seek opportunities for collaboration with local organisations and government bodies to enhance the overall social impact of the organisation and the communities we live and work in.
Additionally, we are committed to improving opportunities for groups who are under-represented in the workforce. We do this by:

We have devised a robust plan to actively support diversity within Perago as part of our commitment to social value, diversity, and inclusion. Additionally, our workforce has broadly a 50/50 gender split in staffing, and we are a 'Disability Confident' organisation.

We firmly believe that our success is intertwined with the well-being of our employees, customers, partners, and the communities we serve and as such are committed to ensuring that improving staff’s well-being is prominent in how we work. This commitment extends beyond our immediate environment to the broader society and future generations, aligning with the principles of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
Our employees’ health is supported by providing an Employee Assistance Programme and have clear policies and guidelines for staff at all levels to support them in ensuring that their mental health is prioritised.
