Our consultants will work collaboratively with you to understand your requirements – e.g. what your software does, how it will be used, estimated levels of usage, peaks and troughs in demand.

Our architects can help you choose a cloud-based architecture that will fulfil these scalability requirements.

Our dev-ops team can help you setup and configuring the hosting. We “script” the configuration, using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, which makes the hosting setup robust and repeatable, so that new environments (e.g. for testing) can be setup easily.

Our analysts will compare the costs and features of cloud hosting providers (taking into account your estimated usage) and can make a recommendation of the most appropriate service to use. They can help you evaluate the total cost of ownership of each hosting provider.

How the support service works
Softwire can support your cloud software and hosting.

Softwire has a dedicated support team providing third line support for cloud-hosted software. This includes software that we have developed, but also support for software developed by third parties.

Our support engineers are very experienced with all major cloud environments, including AWS, Azure and customers’ private clouds. They are able to setup and configure cloud services and create monitoring and alerting systems to notify you of problems. They are able to recommend the best tools to use and can help you optimise your spend on cloud hosting.

Our support engineers are all very capable developers – indeed there is regular rotation between our project teams and the support team. This means that our support engineers have a deep understanding of technology, experience of architecting, coding and testing complex systems and high technical aptitude – which means our support engineers are just as able to enhance and add features to your software as they are maintaining and supporting the software.

We can also provide service monitoring, and review your analytics to make pro-active suggestions to improve your service going forwards.

Softwire has a dedicated support team providing third line support for cloud-hosted software. This includes software that we have developed, but also support for software developed by third parties.

We provide support on a retained time and materials basis, with an agreed minimum commitment per month. The retained time can be used for support incidents, to deliver small enhancements to the system at your request, or rolled over to subsequent months (with some restrictions).

Our support team leads would work collaboratively with you to establish a suitable level of retainer, and agree the SLAs.
