How the training service works
Moriyama can provide bespoke Umbraco Editor Training. This one-day course is for people who work with Umbraco to create and edit website content. The course explains the fundamentals of Umbraco and aims to unlock all the hidden tips and tricks to ensure that working with Umbraco day to day is a pleasure rather than a frustration.

We also provide a specialist Umbraco orientation workshop, this brings developers and editors together to show them Umbraco, it’s potentials and capabilities. This workshop can help kick start an internal project, giving teams a shared language and a vision of what might be possible and how to communicate needs more effectively.

Our experienced team of consultants have carried our multiple migrations from both 3rd party as well as older versions of Umbraco. All migrations are different; however, we have specific in-house tooling to help with the mapping and migration of content from one system to another.

Depending on the desired result we can develop incremental and iterative strategies, allowing you to move all at once or in a controlled set of steps from one platform to another.

Testing can occur at various levels, from unit all the way to integration testing - we can help you develop an effective test strategy, or review your existing strategies, with a view to higher levels of automation.

Load testing can be undertaken by our team or in conjunction with trusted 3rd parties, depending on your requirements. We load test very high traffic Umbraco solutions regularly and have experience in pushing Umbraco to its limits for our customers.

Moriyama are committed to fighting climate change and view this as one of the most serious threats humanity currently faces. We support this through a number of elements:

1. Remote working - we are predominantly remote-based, with the team working from home and meeting up occasionally for team workshops and planning sessions, around once per quarter. This means our carbon emissions are greatly reduced by our lack of need to travel to an office space.

2. Travel choices - where we do need to travel for client or team meetings, we reduce the impact of travel by favouring sustainable public transport as primary method, and make use of lift-sharing wherever possible if public transport is not an option.

3. Using Umbraco as our technology partner means we are contributing to sustainable digital development. Umbraco's sustainability team are focussed on moving towards digital sustainability and carbon neutral delivery of digital solutions.
