Strategy: Work with our stakeholders to fully understand their requirements. Provide envisioning sessions to draw out use cases. Develop clearly defined business outcomes. In some cases, we will co-develop POCs / MCPs with the client to prove out innovative use cases. Help clients prepare a business case for the program, including valuation of data assets and development of ROM costs. Depending on level of information available, more detailed costs may be possible.
High Level Planning: Carry out As-Is and To-Be assessment of the digital estate. Prepare a programme of works in alignment with customer priorities. Define pre-requisites and readiness. E.g. Internal Training Infrastructure Prepare relevant infrastructure and assets. Adopt best practices for cloud vendor. E.g. Azure Landing Zones.
Detailed Planning: Develop the programme of work into deliverable milestones with clearly defined outcomes. At this stage it is expected that detailed costs can be provided. Deep analysis of requirements and preparation of core documents for upcoming sprints. Dufrain offer a full Cloud Migration capability covering initial requirements capture through to implementation.
Depending on the client requirements, we can leverage a selection of pre-built tools and standard pattern approaches to accelerate cloud migration.
As a Cloud Data focussed consultancy, we provide Data Migrations and Modern Data Platform implementations.
Migration of data between systems is facilitated by leveraging our pre-built Data Migration tools. These tools provide for recurring data movement, changing a “big bang” approach to one where a decision can be made when ready with the source and target systems held in sync.
The approach typically taken is:
1 – Initial requirements capture.
2 – Readiness assessment.
3 – Architecture design. Including services, networking, security, environments, monitoring, CI/CD and DevOps.
4 – Implementation of Architecture using Infrastructure as Code.
5 – Detailed design including Source – Target Mapping.
6 – Development/Implementation of Data Migration Pipelines.
7 – Development/Implementation of Data Quality checks.
8 – Development/Implementation of Status Reports.
All migrations take place through cloud services, secured to and owned by the customer. No additional licenses and no long-term support and maintenance is required once the migration is complete. - Setup or migration service is for specific cloud services

The service is fully transparent to stakeholders, ensuring that communications, performance against SLI, SLO and SLAs are managed within a framework of collaboration and continuous improvement. Dufrain’s service catalogue is extensive, including Cloud Infrastructure Management, Cloud Vendor Support, Data Platform Management, Analytics Platform Management, Infrastructure Provisioning, Metadata and Data Quality Management and Release Management.

Fighting climate change
Dufrain is committed to driving down our energy and carbon impacts, as we believe that climate change is one of the greatest risks to our world. Our sustainability programme is committed to environmentally sustainable initiatives that deliver near-term efficiency, value, and health for our business, our people, and the wider community.
• We encourage our customers to reduce their impact on the environment by recommending the use
• of more sustainable materials. We actively promote a paper-free office. We regularly support our clients to avoid printing and we will make all endeavours to be a digital-first business.
• We seek to comply with current environmental legislation and work to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment.
• We support the recommendations of the UK Joint Government and Regulator (TCFD) Taskforce and
engage with our stakeholders and encourage enhanced disclosure on climate change, biodiversity, and the SDGs, including efforts to advance the underlying goals, such as those of the Paris Agreement.
Dufrain Consulting will adopt the principles of the ‘best practicable environmental option’ in the delivery of its waste management services. The Company will apply a ‘waste hierarchical approach’, to reduce, reuse, recycle and recover waste products in preference to the disposal of waste to landfill. There is a legal requirement for all who produce, keep, or dispose of waste of any type to comply with the various regulations and the Duty of Care under Environmental Protection legislation. The Company recognises the importance of meeting these legal requirements and to manage its waste responsibly, reduce the volume of waste sent to landfill and maximise reuse and recycling where possible. The Company requires all staff and supply chain partners to comply with this Policy and associated Company Environmental Guidance Notes (EGN’s), to ensure compliance with all waste legislation.Covid-19 recovery
The COVID-19 pandemic pushed employee health and well-being to the front of the Dufrain business agenda. We took our responsibility to protect our employees and clients from the risk of infection by implementing stringent public health measures and supporting the need to work from home, pivoting our office infrastructure to put employee health and well-being first. Throughout this time, we have taken additional measures in response to COVID-19, such as providing support directly to individual employees’ needs and concerns, ensuring that individuals have a safe space to raise any mental or physical health issues, and by catering to home office requirements. We have also maintained some of the measures put in place to reduce the spread of disease, such as an enhanced office cleaning regime and hand sanitisation points. We remain able to rapidly respond if we needed to in the future, putting our employees and clients first in order to ensure their safety.Tackling economic inequality
