MAIAR supplements this by providing onsite support where required, including assistance with implementation, training, configuration, and issue resolution delivered directly at the customer’s location.

Samdesk does not publish any tiered or premium support levels, and there are no stated charges for different levels of support. All customers receive the same standard support provision unless otherwise arranged contractually through MAIAR.

Samdesk does not state that it provides a dedicated technical account manager or cloud support engineer as part of the service.

API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
The Samdesk API is a REST service for integrating real‑time crisis alerts into your systems. After enabling access, users can pull alerts, search streams, and paginated lists, and they can tailor feeds by filtering for regions, topics, or threat types to power dashboards and automated notifications.

The API is read‑only: it cannot modify platform settings, dashboards, or incidents. Only admins can generate API keys, and requests without a valid key are rejected.

Standard HTTP error codes apply (400 for invalid parameters, 401 for unauthorized, 404 for missing resources, 5xx for server errors).

API sandbox or test environment
No
Customisation available
Yes
Description of customisation
Users can customise Samdesk in several ways to tailor the platform to their operational needs. Through the web interface, users can build and adjust dashboards, applying filters and settings to focus on the incidents, regions, or topics most relevant to their roles. This includes configuring situational‑awareness visuals, geospatial views, and other analytic components within the dashboard environment. The platform also allows users to fine‑tune alerting and data feeds, reducing noise by filtering information by region, topic, or threat type to create more relevant, targeted monitoring streams.
For integrations and automation, the Samdesk API enables users to retrieve customised data feeds structured around their chosen parameters, allowing them to embed Samdesk insights into internal dashboards and workflows. However, the API is primarily for data retrieval rather than interface configuration. Customisation can be performed by general users for dashboards and filters, while administrators manage API access and integration settings.

The reporting structure places ultimate accountability with the Managing Director, supported by a designated Security Controller who oversees compliance and conducts regular audits. Policies are enforced through mandatory staff training, documented procedures and periodic internal reviews, with any breaches or concerns escalated through a formal incident reporting process to senior management.

Operational security

Configuration and change management standard
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Configuration and change management approach
MAIAR complies with ISO 27001:2022 for information security, which includes robust configuration and change management processes. All components of our services are tracked throughout their lifetime using documented configuration baselines and version control. Changes follow a formal process that includes submission of a change request, impact assessment, approval by authorised personnel and controlled implementation. Each change is assessed for potential security impact as part of the risk evaluation process, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 controls. All changes are logged, reviewed and subject to regular internal audits, with oversight provided by the Security Controller and senior management.
Vulnerability management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Vulnerability management approach
MAIAR follows ISO 27001:2022 for vulnerability management. We continuously assess potential threats through regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments and monitoring of security advisories. Threat intelligence is sourced from trusted providers, vendor notifications, government security alerts and industry feeds. Identified vulnerabilities are prioritised based on risk and potential impact to services. Patches and updates are deployed promptly, typically within 24 to 72 hours for critical vulnerabilities, following a controlled change management process. All actions are documented and reviewed by the Security Controller, ensuring compliance and reducing exposure to emerging threats. Regular audits and staff training reinforce this approach.
Protective monitoring type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Protective monitoring approach
MAIAR implements protective monitoring in line with ISO 27001:2022 through a Managed Service Provider (MSP). Potential compromises are identified via continuous monitoring, log analysis and automated alerts. The MSP uses threat intelligence from vendor advisories, industry feeds and MOD guidance. When a compromise is suspected, the MSP initiates incident response immediately, performing triage, containment and remediation in coordination with MAIAR. Critical incidents are prioritised and addressed within hours, with escalation to the Security Controller and senior management. All incidents are documented, reviewed and lessons learned are applied to strengthen monitoring and security controls.
Incident management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example, CSA CCM v4.0 or ISO/IEC 27035:2011 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Incident management approach
MAIAR follows ISO 27001:2022 for incident management and uses predefined processes for common events such as data breaches, system outages and unauthorised access. Users report incidents via a dedicated email address or secure ticketing system, monitored by our Managed Service Provider and escalated to the Security Controller. On receipt, incidents are logged, prioritised and investigated immediately, with critical issues addressed within hours. Incident reports, including root cause analysis and corrective actions, are provided to affected stakeholders and senior management. Lessons learned are documented and integrated into continuous improvement of our security and operational processes.
