Where possible we utilise remote communication methods, including email and the use of the web-based meeting and collaboration products to communicate with prospects, customers and suppliers as a way to minimise the requirement for physical travel.
Digital data/document/file transfer facilities are used as a priority to avoid carbon heavy methods, such as couriers.
All project and support work is completed remotely to avoid unnecessary travel.
Products and solutions are developed in such a way as to minimise their environmental effects in production, usage and disposal e.g. use pre-existing platforms like Microsoft Azure Services for development and applications.
Active are working towards a paperless office approach with minimal material printed and maintained in hard copy. Documentation is held in its original electronic format on the secure servers and where possible we say no to suppliers/customers offering to send hardcopy communication materials.
General recycling bins are provided within the office for appropriate waste and Active also recycle all print cartridges, using the appropriate methods available. The company office building does not use air conditioning and instead utilises a more environmentally friendly air chilling system.Covid-19 recovery
