Service constraints
A significant portion of the on-site surveying features is currently available only on iOS devices. As the corresponding OrthoGraph app is developed in a multiplatform environment, this can be partly resolved with custom development, but this needs additional funding and a restriction to tested devices matching the app's computing power demand.
System requirements
  • Any standard browser for the offsite work
  • Apple iPad Air (2020) or newer for site work
  • MS Azure for private cloud architecture on demand
  • For on-premise option 2 middle tier server with Kubernetes environment
  • Leica or BOSCH bluetooth LDM for site work recommended

End-of-contract process
Access to the OBIM model is included in the price.
Modification of the model needs an OrthoGraph Enterprise license.
API is free, but might need integration cost, and access fee from the 3rd party system provider.
Aggregated access (using the OrthoGraph model for specific functions (like help desk) is free for end-users, but needs a paid license per function.
The surveying or importing of the model or assets has a one-time volume fee, based on square meters, asset items, and attached documents (like photos).
The data stored in the system has a volume license fee, based on square meters, asset items, and attached documents (like photos).

Description of service interface
The app is designed for access, survey and modification of the 3D model, and inventory. It has a special interface designed for corresponding tasks, and the use of these features effectively needs a (3 days) training. This access needs a paid license.

The web features are for viewing the model, the metrics, and attached data, using standard 3D model navigation, and point-and-click for data access in the property sheets and reports. This access needs a free named license.

If integratied with 3rd party system (not part of the standard installation & for paid license), the BIM can be accessed unrestricted.

What users can and can't do using the API
We have a documented free API available for integrations with 3rd party systems. Access to the data in the OrthoGraph Operational BIM model is still restricted, access can only be granted by the data owner of the particular building. Data modification is also available through the API supporting CAFM and other workflows.

Customisation available
Yes
Description of customisation
The parameters within the BIM model are available for expansion and any custom parameter can be changed later. Fields can be various types like text, integer, distance, boolean, attached document, GPS coordinate, or premade lists. Parameters can also be mandatory, supporting data clarity. Users with OrthoGraph Enterprise license can make such customizations.

Scaling

Independence of resources
OrthoGraph cloud is based on Kubernetes technology, so expanding the resources is easy and quick. As the amount of data is charged, we are aware of when such expansion is needed.
Customers who need higher level of service availablility, can have SLA contracts, and also private cloud or on-premise system where they have more control on the use of HW resoures.

OrthoGraph is Operational BIM, it is designed to collect and maintain data about buildings, optimized for building operation. This means it can highly affect building utilization and effectiveness, including energy consumption.
Overall, using OrthoGraph it is possible to save 10-20% on building operation costs, which also has both direct and indirect impact on carbon consumption and waste generation.
Covid-19 recovery

Covid-19 recovery

Covid-19 brought changes how we work, and esspecially how we use office buildings. OrthoGraph not only helps a better building utilization, but also has a specific feature assessing and maintaining user defined social distancing rules.
Tackling economic inequality

Tackling economic inequality

Proptech is a young and fast-growing industry in the UK, mainly startups and scaleups. A great barrier to their expansion is the lack of building data, especially in the case of older buildings. OrthoGraph opens an opportunity to these SMEs, while also offering new benefits to the buyers.
Equal opportunity

Equal opportunity

Building survey traditionally needs highly educated people, but with OrthoGraph the maintenance of BIM models can also be performed by blue-collar employees, helping them to acquire new skills, and securing their jobs by having new tasks.
Wellbeing

Wellbeing

Building data in the ORthoGraph OBIM model is indended to use in building operation and facility management. This not only boosts the performance of these activities, but also enhances the quality of services provided, so it has a direct affect on the wellbeing of people working in these buildings.
