- End-of-contract data extraction
-
Upon contract expiration, your organisations data remains secure and accessible. Enterprise functions as an upgrade to the standard Google Workspace. Consequently, if the paid subscription is not renewed, your domain automatically reverts to the free starter edition.
Key Implications:
Data Retention: Core user data—including Gmail and Drive files—remains intact and is not deleted.
Continuity: Users retain their existing login credentials; only premium features (such as advanced Meet capacity and Security Center tools) are deactivated.
Portability: The service is not tied to a single vendor. At the contract's end, the license can be transferred to a different authorised reseller without downtime or migration.
Should you choose to leave the platform entirely, administrators retain full data ownership and can utilise the Data Export tool to extract all organisational data in standard formats before cancellation. - End-of-contract process
-
At the conclusion of the subscription term, the organisation has three flexible pathways, ensuring no vendor lock-in:
Renew: Continue the service for another subscription to maintain full access to all premium features and storage.
Downgrade: If the contract is not renewed, the service enters a suspension state. No data is deleted; however, users will lose access to all features, including email services. Data can be exported for 180 days after suspension.
Transfer: The subscription can be moved to a different authorised reseller at any time. This process is administrative only and causes zero downtime or service interruption for end-users.
Pricing Inclusions & Exclusions
Included in the License Price:
Enterprise: Access to all advanced security, analytics, and teaching tools (e.g., Originality Reports, Practice Sets).
Gemini AI features, including AI research Assistant (NoteBookLM), AI Assistant for Gmail, Docs, Meet, and more,
Enhanced Storage: An additional 5TB of pooled storage added to the domain. Additional storage can be purchased.
Standard Support: Access to Google’s support team for technical issues.
Additional Costs (Not Included):
Chrome Enterprise Upgrades: Management licenses for Chromebook hardware are sold separately.
Professional Services: In-depth training, migration services, or third-party backup solutions provided by the reseller. - Documentation accessibility standard

- API
- Yes
- What users can and can't do using the API
-
API usage in Google Workspace for Enterprise primarily focuses on automation, deep integration, and advanced analytics.
1. Administration & Security Automation Administrators can use the Admin SDK to script complex workflows, such as bulk-managing user licenses or automating organizational unit moves. Uniquely, Enterprise opens up advanced security endpoints, allowing your team to build custom tools that query Investigation Tool data to detect specific threats (like phishing patterns) and trigger auto-remediation actions (such as instantly suspending a compromised account) without human intervention.
2. Data Analytics (BigQuery) While not a standard "API request," Enterprise enables a direct data pipeline to BigQuery. You can export massive datasets of usage and audit logs to run custom SQL queries. This allows for granular reporting on attendance, security trends, and tool adoption that is impossible with standard Admin Console reports. - API documentation

- Description of customisation
-
Administrators customise the Google Workspace experience primarily through Organizational Units (OUs). By separating users (e.g., "Marketing" vs. "Finance") and devices into different OUs, you can apply distinct policies to each group rather than a "one-size-fits-all" approach.
User Policies: You can turn specific services (like YouTube or Google Chat) on or off for specific users. You can also enforce granular settings, such as preventing users from emailing outside the domain or restricting Google Drive sharing permissions.
Device Policies: For Chromebooks, admins can configure settings like "Kiosk mode", force re-enrollment to prevent theft, or pre-install specific apps and extensions. For mobile devices, you can enforce screen locks, encrypt data, and remotely wipe corporate data from personal devices (BYOD) without deleting personal photos.
For more complex needs, Configuration Groups allow you to apply settings to specific users across different OUs (e.g., allowing a specific "Marketing" project group to access YouTube even if the "Finance" OU blocks it).

- Getech provides comprehensive visibility into your environment through regular product usage reviews. Leveraging Enterprise capabilities, we utilise reporting APIs to generate a custom visual dashboard and a review deck. These reports highlight granular Workspace usage trends across the entire domain—tracking adoption in Meet and Drive. We utilise these metrics during our scheduled reviews to benchmark performance, validate ROI, and identify specific training needs to maximise platform adoption.

Google Enterprise operates under a security-first model that goes beyond standard enterprise compliance to specifically safeguard users.
1. Compliance & Certifications Our platform is verified by independent third-party auditors against the most rigorous global standards, including:
ISO/IEC 27001: Information Security Management.
ISO/IEC 27017: Cloud Security Controls.
ISO/IEC 27018: Protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in public clouds—critical for student privacy.

GDPR: Fully compliant via our Data Processing Amendment and Model Contract Clauses.
2. Operational Security
Encryption: All data is encrypted by default, both in transit (using TLS) and at rest on our servers.

Google Workspace operates under a rigorous Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Component Tracking: All service components are tracked from inception to deprecation. Code changes must pass Binary Authorisation—a cryptographic check ensuring only reviewed, tested, and authorised code can run in production.
Security Assessment: Every change undergoes a mandatory Security Design Review and internal audit before launch.
Customer Control: Administrators manage the local impact of these changes using Release Tracks (Rapid or Scheduled) and assess their specific domain security posture via the Security Center dashboard. - Vulnerability management type

Google employs a rigorous, automated vulnerability management lifecycle to secure the Workspace platform.
Threat Assessment: We utilise automated scanners (e.g., Security Health Analytics) alongside manual "Red Team" penetration testing to continuously identify risks across our infrastructure.
Patch Deployment: As a cloud-native SaaS solution, security patches are deployed centrally and automatically without user intervention. Critical vulnerabilities are often remediated within hours of discovery, with routine updates released continuously.
