- How the training service works
- A Training Needs Analysis (TNA) approach is used to determine practical cost effective training solutions. TNA follows a logical progression from understanding of the system requirement, to evaluating training needs and options and delivery of the training solution. Scoping Studies clearly define the boundaries of the TNA, Operational Task Analysis identifies the jobs and tasks affected by the new or changed in-service system, whilst Training Gap Analysis establishes the gap between the new operational objectives and existing performance standards. Training Needs established, our ILS service consultants will assess the most appropriate training delivery with clear goals to impart the necessary Knowledge, Skills and Experience, based upon a philosophy of Explanation, Demonstration, Imitation and Practise. Training may include formal Knowledge Transfer coursework against a structured curriculum, informal Coaching clinics following a crawl, walk, run, sprint approach or hands-on practical workshops. Training courses may include use-case scenario driven exercises with an Exercise Control (EXCON) team managing the scenario delivery with real-time injects from SME trainers in operational (LOCON) and strategic (HICON) teams; typical in teaching the use of real-time operational information systems for instance in Command & Control solutions. Where appropriate, the delivery of a IT synthetic training solution may be determined.

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
- The purpose of the ILS service is to test the quality of the solution requirements and design to assure that the Buyer solution service support performance is fit for purpose, when in-service. Our ILS service team consultants will work with the Buyer and related stakeholders to ensure the Availability, Reliability and Maintainability of the solution is addressed in requirements, design, implementation and through testing. FMECA analysis is used to determine what the business functions of the solution are, how they might fail, and should any of these functions fail, whether the effects of these failures may be business critical, to mitigate the risk. In testing the service support, service test and trials, based upon scenario driven support use-cases, will assure the service solution requirements are met. Training requirements are established and Training Needs Analysis will determine what training gaps need to be filled, whilst the security aspects of the solution will be qualified through a System Security Management Plan identifying security threats and measures. A Safety Assessment will ensure the safety needs of the systems are being addressed in accordance with the mandatory and business safety standards in force.
