Fighting climate change
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, taking action that will allow us to become net zero by the end of 2030
Whilst we are working towards this goal, we have achieved carbon neutrality by offsetting the carbon that we can’t currently remove. We have funded climate projects through partnership with ecologi to achieve this. This past year we have been successful in off-setting 3 times our carbon emissions, planting 1515 trees and restoring UK habitats.
Our commitment extends to our supply chain, we have introduced policies and checks to ensure that our suppliers join us on our journey to net zero.
We have signed up to the SME Climate commitment and engage actively with this group and other organisations that are helping us to understand the difference we can make to the natural world and the fight against climate change.
We have committed to reducing our office impact by:
• Implementing a paperless office
• Reducing our office space to the minimum size necessary
• Utilising a managed shared office space
• Encouraging working from home to reduce travel into the office
• Creating internal policies on supplier chain commitments to fighting climate change
• Introducing a cycle to work scheme
• Encouraging walking and cycling to work as part of our climate change and wellbeing policies
• Encouraging car sharing and use of public transport wherever possible.
We have set up an internal green team who champion green initiatives and get our team involved in carbon reduction activities.
We will commit to plant trees for each project/statement of work via G-Cloud.Wellbeing
Improving health and wellbeing in the workplace is a top priority initiative at ea Change. We have developed a workplace culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging, where everyone owns and values their own and each other’s well-being. This not only applies to our existing workforce but is also evidenced through our recruitment practices, staff development initiatives and staff retention policies where diversity, inclusion, accessibility and physical and mental health support are key factors which we measure and monitor to ensure success.
To support our goal of happy and healthy employees, we have invested in health facilities. We offer our employees full access to weekly yoga and meditation classes as well as a state-of-the-art gym and we run mental health sessions as well as life classes around financial planning and preparing for the future. We also have a company-wide private medical policy which provides support for both mental and physical health.
For each project/statement of work via G-Cloud we will provide mental health first aiders for our deployed resources. Clients can also draw on this service where required. We will also share our experience and journey to wellbeing best practice to support clients with their own initiatives.
