- End-of-contract data extraction
-
Ito World ensures that buyers maintain full control over their transit data throughout the contract lifecycle and during the offboarding phase.
Until the formal cessation date of the contract, users have unrestricted self-service access to extract their data directly from the platform. Historical performance metrics and punctuality data from Ito Discover can be downloaded in CSV format or via the Discover API. In Ito Notify, static and real-time data can be exported via industry-standard transit data formats (such as GTFS-RT or SIRI-SX logs), ensuring data portability and consistency with other transport systems.
Recognising the need for continuity in long-term reporting, Ito World can offer an optional extension for data access. By mutual agreement and priced based on required effort via the SFIA rate card found in Ito's G-Cloud 15 pricing document, the historical data APIs can remain active for an additional three months beyond the contract cessation date. This allows the buyer’s technical teams to continue fetching historical performance data programmatically while transitioning to a successor system. - End-of-contract process
-
Ito World ensures a structured and secure offboarding process at the conclusion of the contract. As the platform is a real-time data system, the primary focus is on service cessation and secure data disposal.
Prior to the termination date, buyers have full self-service access to export their historical performance reports from Ito Discover and Ito Notify in standard formats (e.g. CSV, SIRI, TransXChange). As an additional service, requiring mutual agreement and priced based on required effort via the SFIA rate card found in Ito's G-Cloud 15 pricing document, Ito can leave these APIs active to extract data for up to three months post contract cessation.
Following the final data extraction, Ito World performs a secure purge of the buyer’s specific configuration and historical logs from our production systems. This is conducted in accordance with our data sanitisation policy, ensuring no residual data remains on the infrastructure.
A final reconciliation is completed to ensure all contractual obligations have been met, with no hidden exit fees for standard decommissioning. - Documentation accessibility standard

The Ito Transit Data Platform provides a secure, web based interface for the Ito Notify and Ito Discover modules.
Ito Notify offers disruption management tools to disseminate cancellations to passengers. Feed monitoring is available, with insights surfaced via email alerts for immediate operational awareness.
Ito Discover provides a rich analytical interface with map based visualisations, corridor analysis, and performance dashboards (e.g., On Time Performance) for compliance auditing.
The cloud native interface is accessible via modern browsers. It prioritises data legibility and intuitive navigation, allowing authorities to transition from network level overviews to granular, stop-level forensics. - Accessibility standards
- WCAG 2.2 AA
- Accessibility testing
-
Ito World conducts rigorous accessibility testing to ensure our interfaces, including Ito Notify and Ito Discover, remain inclusive and compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA standards. Our methodology combines automated auditing with manual assistive technology testing.
We integrate the Axe-core engine into our development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines. This allows us to programmatically identify violations of WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 standards across in-memory and static fixtures. We utilise automated Python-based Selenium utilities to generate regular accessibility audit reports.
Recognising that automated tools cannot identify all usability barriers, we perform manual testing using screen readers, specifically ChromeVox and NVDA. Our testing protocol includes:
Ensuring all operable elements (links/forms) are focusable and sequenced logically.
Verifying semantic structure to allow users to navigate via Cvox commands.
Ensuring field labels, required fields, and table row/column headers are announced effectively.
This dual-layered approach ensures that our cloud-native interfaces are not only technically compliant but practically usable for users with accessible needs. - API
- Yes
- What users can and can't do using the API
-
The platform provides data outputs and RESTful APIs for retrieving high-frequency transit data. This includes cleansed schedule data (TransXChange/GTFS), real-time vehicle positions (SIRI-VM/GTFS-RT), and arrival/departure predictions (SIRI-SM). Our Discover API allows for the export of historical performance analytics and punctuality metrics. We also provide a Transit Time API designed for Bus Signal Priority (BSP) and Traffic Light Prioritisation (TLP), sharing degree-of-lateness metrics with infrastructure systems to improve network reliability.
While data retrieval and output configuration can be automated via the API, the initial provisioning of source data feeds (ingesting new operator tracking feeds) and high-level platform configuration (e.g., adding new user accounts or editing global security settings) are managed by our Customer Success team. This ensures the integrity of the data normalisation process and prevents accidental network-wide configuration errors. API usage is subject to standard rate-limiting to protect platform performance, and all access requires secure authentication via API keys. - API documentation

The Ito Transit Data Platform is designed with a modular architecture, allowing Buyers to customise their deployment by selecting specific modules that align with their operational requirements. Beyond module selection (Elevate, Notify, Discover), specific elements within each module can be configured, such as bespoke alert triggers, specific data quality rule-sets, and tailored analytical dashboards.
This flexible approach ensures that Local Transport Authorities only pay for the specific functionality and data processing they require.
Scaling
- Independence of resources
- Ito World ensures consistent performance through a tenant-isolated architecture. Each customer environment is provisioned as an individual instance, ensuring that computational resources, such as CPU, memory, and data processing pipelines, are dedicated to that specific user. This approach prevents "noisy neighbour" issues, where high demand from one customer impacts another. Furthermore, we utilise elastic scaling to automatically provision additional capacity during peak loads. This architecture guarantees that real-time alerts in Notify and data processing in Elevate remain responsive and entirely independent of other platform users.

Ito World provides a cloud-native SaaS platform with a guaranteed service availability of 99.99% in any calendar month. This commitment covers the accessibility of the Integrated Transit Intelligence Platform and the continuous processing of critical real-time data feeds across Elevate, Notify, and Discover.
Service Level Agreement (SLA's): Availability is calculated based on the total minutes in a month, excluding pre-notified Planned Maintenance. Maintenance is prioritised for low-traffic windows (typically 00:00–04:00 GMT), and we provide a minimum of five business days' notice for any works that may impact service accessibility. The SLA excludes issues arising from external factors, such as failures in the buyer's local network or the unavailability of third-party source data feed that are outside of Ito's control (e.g., SIRI-VM or GTFS-RT). - Approach to resilience
- This information is available on request
- Outage reporting
-
Ito World provides proactive outage reporting via multiple restricted channels to ensure security and data privacy.
Direct notifications are sent to registered technical contacts immediately upon confirmation of a Sev1 or Sev2 incident.
For major outages, a formal Post-Incident Report (PIR) detailing the root cause and mitigation steps is shared with affected customers within ten business days.
Live updates and "Estimated Time to Resolution" are posted within the private support email system to ensure users are kept up to date.
