Fighting climate change
For the 3 areas of scope, we are dealing with our direct emissions such as petrol and diesel vehicles, and transitioning to electric vehicles. For indirect emissions and emissions that come from our value chain, we have partnered up with Greenify Talent. It empowers Involved Solutions to make real, positive change – to take verifiable climate action through high-impact, nature-based projects.
We offset CO2 emissions through certified carbon offsets. We recover and repackage plastic waste, and in addition we plant trees to increase the world's natural ability to sequester CO2 through photosynthesis.
In addition to the above our commitment is to:
Continuously improve our environmental performance and integrate recognised environmental management best practice into our business operations.
Reduce our consumption of resources and improve the efficient use of those resources.
Measure and take action to reduce the carbon footprint of our business activities to meet our published objectives and targets.
Manage waste generated from our business operations according to the principles of reduction, re-use and recycling.
Manage our business operations to prevent pollution.
Give due consideration to environmental issues and energy performance in the acquisition, design, refurbishment, location and use of buildings.
Ensure environmental, including climate change, criteria are taken into account in the procurement of goods and services.
Comply as a minimum with all relevant environmental legislation as well as other environmental requirements to which the firm subscribes. - Covid-19 recovery
-
Covid-19 recovery
This organisation will follow all official guidance relating to the pandemic and how to run businesses in a “Covid-secure” manner. All risk mitigation measures adopted will be based on best practice and will take into account the levels of infection rates in the region and country.
Departmental managers are responsible for ensuring that employees understand the organisation’s pandemic recovery plan policy and procedure. Employees are responsible for familiarising themselves with the procedure and should speak to their departmental manager should they have any questions.
The organisation will identify a Coronavirus Pandemic Crisis Management Team. The team will consist of employee representatives from throughout the organisation and will include members of both senior and middle management. Occupational health, communications, facilities management and HR will be represented.
The Coronavirus Pandemic Crisis Management Team will be tasked with keeping Covid-19 risk assessments and business continuity plans updated.
Where identified through the risk assessment process, this organisation will enable office-based staff and managers to work from home where practicable and appropriate. This will save them from having to attend the office and use public transport. Homeworking status will be kept under review.
Staff who attend the office will be encouraged to maintain a “social distance” of at least two metres from each other wherever possible. Where this is not possible, additional risk mitigation measures should be employed, such as wearing masks or face coverings or using screens. Office chairs should be arranged so that staff do not face each other and adequate ventilation should be maintained. Equipment should not be shared. Room occupancy limits will be defined and areas such as corridors will be marked out so that “one-way” routes can be followed.
The remainder of this policy is available upon request, as there is only a 300 word limit. - Tackling economic inequality
