Customisation available
Yes
Description of customisation
AvePoint Policies for Microsoft 365 allows organisations to tailor governance and security controls across Teams, Groups, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Users can customise what policies apply, how they behave, and who they target by configuring rules for access, external sharing, sensitivity labels, tagging, membership, configuration settings, and data protection. The service supports custom rules alongside 100+ out of the box options, enabling organisations to enforce oversharing prevention, restrict guest access, set ownership requirements, or automatically revert out of policy changes. Customisation is done through AvePoint’s guided Policy Builder, where administrators define conditions, triggers, and automated remediation actions. Users can apply rules to specific workspaces, users, metadata driven contexts, or entire tenants, and can monitor compliance or enforce remediation automatically. Those who can customise Policies include Microsoft 365 Global Administrators who consent the required app permissions, as well as delegated IT administrators responsible for governance and security. Insights from AvePoint Insights can further guide which custom policies to build, ensuring configurations align with risk priorities.
