From our experience across many data projects is that one of the biggest barriers is the amount of effort (and cost) required before any value/return is realised. This is why we created our Data Analytics Platform Accelerator.

IJYI's Data Analytics Platform accelerator, built on top of Azure services, empowers businesses to gain valuable insights from their dispersed data sources and transform them into actionable intelligence. By leveraging the capabilities of Microsoft Azure Data Analytics Services and our expertise in-house, you can centralise and transform your data, visualise it in a user-friendly manner, and make informed decisions to drive your business forward.

We work with you to understand your requirements in order to plan the best platform to build and then configure our Accelerator to deliver it. This gets you up and running and ready for us to concentrate on your data.

Our approach to data focuses on making the result ready for reporting and analysis without the need for further transformation. This is achieved through agreeing on clearly defined work items and then iterating on them through a collaborative agile process to make sure the result meets customer needs.

Every organisation and individual is slightly different with their start point and end goals. Our approach is Assess, Plan, Deliver and Support.

We start by assessing your ambition. What level of skills are required? We then build a “role description” of the requirements. This role description is used to self-assess a competency journey. We also assessment relevant complementary skills.

A Development Pathway is then created and contains activities, skills and training required to reach the required level of competency.

A combination of Coaching, Show-n-Tell, Demonstrations, Guided Self-Study, Role Shadowing and external formal training courses is used to progress the Development Pathway.

How the setup or migration service works
Even when using IJYI's Data Analytics Platform Accelerator there is still a need to get the fundamental setup and integration correct.
Firstly we need to understand your current Azure environment, or if this will be your first Azure environment. This ensures our services are built efficiently, securely and cost effectively.
We will then configure the automated deployment (using infrastructure as code) of our accelerator to deliver the services and features you need.
Attention is then on bringing in your data, our ETL approach ensures this data is brought across to enable your insights to be delivered.

How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Quality is vital in the delivery of actionable intelligence from your data. Poor quality data will lead to poor quality actions and decisions. Understanding your data sources, data quality and data dependencies will ensure that the data integration focuses on quality data. Our team will work with you to ensure the quality metrics are defined and then validated as part of the implementation.
Performance is not the preserve of big data sets, though is more challenging as the data set grows. Data latency can massively impact the validity and visibility of data, so ensuring that data is brought through in a timely and accurate manner is important.
With modern cloud platform services it is easy to "over specify" in order to attempt to minimise performance issues; however this can lead to unnecessary costs and dramatically reduce the return on investment.

We always follow best practice in our design and delivery. We can undertake security testing ourselves or work with an independent third party security team. Our team will then work through any vulnerabilities or improvement areas until these are satisfactorily addressed or mitigated.

Our support team provides proactive service targeting and incident avoidance, while regular engagements with support consultants ensures that IJYI has a clear understanding of and input into your business strategy, enabling us to add value to your contingency plans.
We offer a range of models from full 24x7 support through to a more ad-hoc "insurance policy" type service. We can design and tailor the service to meet your strategy, often with support decreasing over time as you become increasingly self-sufficient.

Fighting climate change

Our team work extensively from home thus reducing the environmental impact of commuting.
All our solutions are cloud based therefore enabling the cloud providers to concentrate on effective power, heating and cooling at a scale that we could not.
We have extended the refresh period of our computing equipment to reduce landfill and waste.

Covid-19 recovery

As a result of COVID-I9 we have changed our business working pattern completely. All staff now work remote for the majority of their time, using our re-designed office facilities when their personal or business needs require.
This has enabled improved social distancing, reduced travel and also improved wellbeing of our staff. Additional benefit is casting a wider geographical net for staff.
We also encourage part time working, including fitting around childcare and education.

Tackling economic inequality

Our business is growing and we are creating career opportunities in the East of England. We have employment options across a range of areas:
- School Hours contracts to enable parents/carers to return to work
- Flexible Study Contracts that has enabled mature students to continue to work in our sector whilst studying degree/PHD level
- General part-time work.
Approx. 30% of our staff (including CEO) now work part-time patterns.

In 2023 we restarting our Apprenticeship Programme in partnership with our local council and a local training provider.

We continue to nurture early career progression through our work experience programme and as an Industry Partner with Suffolk New College and the University of Suffolk.
