Fighting climate change
This service will baseline an organisation’s carbon footprint across all three Scopes of Operation, creating the cornerstone to an overall carbon reduction strategy while providing clear guidance on areas to prioritise to this end. This will all be conducted in accordance with our Environment & Sustainability policy, which ensures that this service will be provided under a commitment to minimise waste (through reduction and recycling strategies); reduce the usage of energy, water, and other resources; limit travel to necessity; replace paper usage with electronics where possible; and generally promote environmental awareness, including the use of formal training programmes, to both internal employees and external partners. These values are further emphasised and reinforced through our Corporate Social Responsibility & Activities policy, which includes a section devoted to environmental awareness.Covid-19 recovery
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Cambridge Management Consulting has implemented accommodations to our working culture and internal policies to promote consistency and mitigate confusion within a rapidly changing and recovering business landscape. Though in-person operations may be necessary within this service, we understand the risk to proximity caused by the Pandemic and its means of spread, and sympathise with any anxiety surrounding this, especially to medically vulnerable parties. As such, we can operate as much of this service online as possible and ensure protective equipment (i.e. facemasks) are worn when circumstances require it.
To this end, this service can support you to increase your own organisation’s adaptability, particularly within an environment which is placing more emphasis on digital and virtual resources and accelerate your return to a normal state of operations.Tackling economic inequality
Cambridge Management Consulting recognises the importance of tackling economic inequality through both the work that we provide and the operations behind it, and this service will uphold and promote the values of inclusivity and representation written into our internal policies. Both our Inclusion and Supplier Code of Conduct policies ensure that the acquisition and retention of any employees, partners, and suppliers relevant to this service and its activities will be completed in compliance of the Equality Act 2010, and therefore will be conducted regardless of culture, perspectives, and experience, including those which are related to class, education, and background. Furthermore, to promote the equitability of our staff and talent, the work completed by this service may be supported by an intern onboarded from Pembroke College, Cambridge, through their Leadership, Enterprise & Adventure at Pembroke (LEAP) initiative. Cambridge MC has a longstanding corporate partnership with Pembroke College, and their LEAP scheme aims to provide internships and career direction to students who may not otherwise have the network to support and accelerate their ambitions.
To this end, any activities performed by this service will not be biased towards those with the ability to accelerate their goals and expectations through unfair economic means. Our Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy dictates that we are firmly resistant to bribery of any kind, and that the awarding of gifts or hospitality may only be offered within a £50 budget, else it requires the approval of the CEO and appropriate recording.
Finally, to uplift and support those causes that are otherwise underfunded, or we view as in need of pro bono contributions, we donate 1-10% of our annual profits to charitable causes, and offer 1% of our time and expertise, including this service, to non-profit organisations and movements.Equal opportunity
This service promotes Equal Opportunities (both within the workplace and acknowledging the wider socioeconomic impact of the activities completed therein) for minority groups and underrepresented demographics by upholding and internalising Cambridge Management Consulting’s Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility & Activity policies. The former outlines our commitment to talent and ability regardless of culture, perspectives, and experiences when hiring and retaining employees, partners, and suppliers, and ensures that individuals are treated with the basic humanity and respect represented by the Equality Act 2010. This is reinforced by the latter, which recognises that business operations have consequences, effects, and reach that are not limited to working environments, and ensures that employees are hired, and business partnerships are formed, in a way that reflects a commitment to a positive bearing on the world around them.
Furthermore, activities conducted and completed by this service may be supported by an intern onboarded from Pembroke College, Cambridge, through their Leadership, Enterprise & Adventure at Pembroke (LEAP) initiative. Cambridge MC has a longstanding corporate partnership with Pembroke College, and their LEAP scheme aims to provide internships and career direction to students who may not otherwise have the network to support and accelerate their ambitions.Wellbeing
At Cambridge Management Consulting, we are proud to prioritise the people that carry out and coordinate our business operations, and thus make space for mental health and wellbeing in order to ensure our partners and employees feel comfortable, appreciated, and heard. As such, any activities and interactions conducted by, or within this service, will comply with the values outlined in our Wellbeing – Inclusion and Mental Health policy, which maintains an active and attentive awareness of warning signs that peers may be feeling low or conflicted in order to offer support where necessary, and encourages an open, respectful, and communicative company culture. Furthermore, we are committed to being compliant with Government guidance and legislature regarding mental health and ensure that the members of our wider organisation are similarly aware.
This compliance will be monitored and upheld by our FAQ L3 Adult Mental Health Workplace First Aiders. First Aiders are instilled with the knowledge of factors that can affect wellbeing in the workplace, practical skills for observing signs of mental illness, reassuring an individual in distress, and more. If you require wellbeing support throughout the activities of this service, these First Aiders are contactable for advice, support, and comfort.
