Veran is known in the public sector for delivering rigour, structure and high quality through our 7S™ Methodology. This tried and tested approach guides organisations through 7 clearly defined steps, starting with the customer or end user who is at the heart of any transformation.
Based on the 7S™ Methodology, SwiftHR™ deployment approach has been designed for organisations with minimal levels of complexity and legacy in HR, enabling them to move directly to Step 6, implementation. It is preceded by a 2-4 week Discovery phase, which validates your ability to adopt the pre-configured solution and understand where, if any, additional configuration effort is required. The implementation plan shown is for core HCM, so any additional modules required in the initial implementation would add time to this deployment.
Our experienced Programme and Project Leads will work with you and any required third parties, to tailor these tried and tested plans around your organisation's objectives, constraints and timelines. Veran is a small, entrepreneurial business which has grown over the past ten years and created job opportunities for over 200 people, including many graduates. On the same day we founded Veran, we set up a not-for-profit HR & Finance network which now supports 20,000 professionals through free events, seminars and workshops, to help develop the HR and Finance profession, match jobseekers with employers, and upskill people from a diverse range of backgrounds, to be employable in HR and Finance. Over the past 10 years, we have helped more than 30 people to find a job through our network.
Furthermore HR and Finance technology and transformation are high growth sectors. Veran’s success in Central Government allows us to continue growing at rapid speed, with ambitions to double in size over the next 18-24 months. This means offering new jobs for 100+ people in the next 2 years. Our methodologies which have been tailored to hybrid working allow us to hire from a wider geographical base, and those who are not mobile to travel into work or those who are shielding. We also provide excellent training for people of all economic backgrounds, from school or higher education through internships, most of whom become permanent employees.
We fund ten days of training for every one of our employees, helping them gain qualifications and certifications in Project Management, Organisational Design, Change Management, and technology design and development. We also support our clients to design their Training Strategies and Plans so that during our projects, people in our client organisations are learning about Programme and Project Management, Process Optimisation, Embedding Change, Effective Communication, and Best Practice for HR and Finance.Wellbeing
At Veran we take the health and wellbeing of all our staff, colleagues and clients seriously. We operate a number of initiatives to promote not just the physical health but also the mental wellbeing of our people. Our purpose in doing this is to ensure that everyone working at Veran has access to the support, tools and advice they need to manage their health and wellbeing.
To support physical health we offer all permanent staff fully funded private medical insurance and critical illness insurance. We have consciously chosen to contract our private medical with Vitality as their service offering is more rounded to total health. We also organise tournaments such as tennis and netball regularly. For those who cannot travel to take part in tournaments, we also ensure we offer challenges that everyone can take part in regardless of location, such as Virgin Pulse (previously Global Corporate Challenge).
To support our people in managing their mental health we have created a rounded approach. We acknowledge that for many of our workforce who work remotely staying connected is a key factor in managing their mental health. As such we provide; weekly newsletters, monthly all-company calls, bi-annual in-person development days, regular manager 1-2-1s and a weekly anonymous pulse survey. We also offer our people the opportunity to be a mentor or have a mentor. We have also partnered with OnHand who match our people with volunteering opportunities in their local communities. This is in addition to having two mental health first aiders in the organisation and actively promoting mental health awareness, including through an awareness week, Employee Assistance Programme, etc.
We also offer financial education support to our employees with a financial advisor running bi-annual drop-in sessions for our people.
