Planning
- Planning service
- Yes
- How the planning service works
- Our Cloud and service architecture consultants will work with you and your application developers to identify an architecture and hosting feature-set that answers your current and projected future needs. We carry out a detailed discovery of any as-is features along with to-be requirements. These cover such elements as business analysis (current and future), security and scaling provision. Critical is an integrated approach between software development and hosting to ensure a joined-up and integrated architecture is considered.

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
- Quality Assurance and Performance testing is dependant on the AWS products or services being tested. We work to accredited standards as well as the requirements of the Cloud partner programme. For performance testing we have experience of working with a number of load and performance test tools to help our customers understand the impact of increased load and ensure that their environment will scale and perform in a way that meets both their performance criteria, but also their financial (budget) criteria for their Cloud account.

Sustainable development – • Panlogic will always seek to take account of both the world's poor and future generations in its strategic decision making • We will not work with organisations that have been proven to contravene these principles either as suppliers or clients Travel - Panlogic operates the 'Bike 2 Work' salary sacrifice scheme (www.bike2workscheme.co.uk). This allows employees to save up to 52% on the cost of a new bike and equipment and spread the costs over 12 monthly interest free payments. Hosting & energy efficient networks - Panlogic will continue to take an interest in carbon emission reduction strategies and keep abreast of all providers who are working towards a more energy efficient internet, particularly those who are members of the Green Grid (www.thegreengrid.org) and EU funded projects such as GreenShift (www.greenshift.org.uk). Energy consumption - • To never leave PCs idling or on standby • To upgrade to more efficient operating systems only as required (while newer operating systems is a more energy efficient operating system, the e-waste created by an upgrade solely for this reason, would be counter-productive) • All printers, faxes and any other PC or peripheral equipment is turned off overnight and at the weekends. • Panlogic currently uses only low energy efficient lighting solutions and aims to procure only Energy Star Rated products • To upgrade to new hardware which incorporates more materials re-use and less environmentally harmful substances, as this becomes sensible (i.e. the e-waste created by an upgrade solely for this reason, would be counter-productive) Office operations • Panlogic sources its food and beverages for meetings from local suppliers. • Panlogic investigates sustainable sources of materials and assets (such as carpets, chairs, desks etc.) and fully considers environmental factors in its procurement of these items when considering office improvements.Equal opportunity
We aim to abide by and promote equality legislation in both the letter and the spirit of the law and we try to avoid unjustified discrimination (i.e. discrimination based upon characteristics people cannot control about themselves) which we recognise is a barrier to equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights. We promote equality, good relations and inclusion aligned to the Equality Act 2010, Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 and the Welsh Language Act 1993 and relevant legislation aligned to the geographical regions in which we operate. Specifically, we seek to build meaningful, enduring and respectful relationships across different cultures and, where possible, make equality, diversity and inclusivity (EDI) a key decision-making tool. Panlogic strives to champion equality, diversity and inclusion in: • Challenging and eradicating discrimination in the workplace • As far as possible, ensuring our team reflects the U.K.'s diversity • Providing digital communications services that are accessible to all (please see our separate Accessibility Policy for more on this) We aim to implement this by: • Promoting equality and diversity and challenging discrimination • Creating an organisational culture that recognises the contribution of all team members, and which is supportive, fair, just and free from discrimination • Striving to be an exemplary employer • Complying with our statutory obligations under the relevant legislation We will regularly monitor, and assess our processes to: • Take adequate steps to prevent personal discrimination • Take decisive action when discrimination occurs • Take steps to promote equality and diversity.
