- How the planning service works
- We will work with you to identify what plans already exist, and what remains to be done. Our services cover the full scope of your requirements, from the strategic background and business case, through procurement, to hands on implementation support. We typically start by helping to review plans for technology deployment to ensure that they fit together to form a strong foundation for implementations. We review the requirement, the planned solution, the economic, governance and business change implications and the risks. We plan how different components can continue to work together as they move to the cloud at different times. In the procurement phase, the emphasis of planning is on providing bidders with clarity about the objectives, on setting a level playing field for competition, and on buying a strong contract in which services, pricing and the interaction with other services is clear, and where the supplier’s implementation plan is achievable. In the service implementation phase, our planning typically addresses three areas – managing incoming supplier obligations, managing customer resources and incumbent supplier obligations, and setting in place the business change required to support the move to cloud beyond go live.

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
- In respect of quality assurance and performance testing, our role is to support the customer, particularly at the difficult transition stage where responsibilities for delivery are most often passed from one party to another, and where relationships between parties change. Although the supplier will have the responsibility for demonstrating that the solution design is appropriate, and that the solution functions as designed, we offer services to ensure that these responsibilities are met. We will typically supplement customer resources by supporting QA activities as part of a due diligence phase that starts during the procurement process. We make sure that the proposed cloud services are correctly designed to meet the business requirements. We offer support in the development and evaluation of test plans and scripts to manage the risks associated with cloud service migrations, addressing potential issues including licencing, platform, connectivity, interfacing and data migration. We provide test scrutiny and observation, and test script execution as required.
