Deployed, implemented and managed by Titus Learning, Moodle version upgrades will be discussed with the client in advance so this can be carefully planned in and a maintenance schedule is put in place. We aim to keep the downtime to approximately 1 hour and try to schedule a feasible time for both client and Titus. Any patches that need to be deployed due to vulnerability checks in place will result in zero downtime. Getting started
Moodle Workplace offers an interface that combines both efficiency and intuitive functionality. Onboarding tasks are minimised by the self-service functions such as password resets, and contextual assistance to help topics including FAQs or forums.

We work with your project/training/implementation team to ensure the system is configured to meet the training needs of each user, creating their own training pathway.

We will configure the system for use and train your admin staff on how to manage the system. This is all done remotely and we provide full training guides, user documentation and ongoing support on how to best utilise Moodle Workspace.

Fighting climate change

Fighting climate change
As an SME, we recognise that Me Learning’s ESG processes can be small initially, however they are fundamental to ensuring we are sustainable across the board, as well as maintaining the sustainability of our customers.

Our digital training helps clients demonstrate reduction in travel for training, contributing to carbon targets. We specialise in the creation of cutting-edge digital training which can be accessed securely from any device with an internet connection. When this is used in place of more traditional classroom training, this eliminates the need for travel to training venues. Our cloud-based solution is hosted through Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres, which we chose specifically because of the use of renewable energy sources.

Since 2022, Me Learning’s eco-team (Tree Learning) has headed our in-house sustainability initiatives. The team is led by our CEO, Nick Richards, and ensures we map and manage our sustainability risks and identify and exploit sustainability opportunities. This mainly includes improving our energy and carbon performance, encouraging company wide recycling, and scheduling charity days. Tree Learning identifies a set of short term, medium term and long-term objectives at the beginning of each financial year.

Tackling economic inequality

Tackling economic inequality
As a high growth sector with known skills shortages, we promote careers with the next generation of students and job seekers and provide opportunities through work experience and placements.

We play an active role in the communities where we operate. For example, we:

- Built a website for young people with learning difficulties for a charity local to Brighton.

- Provide free access to personal development courses via our social value agreement with Greater Manchester Combined Authority. Rochdale Council used this to provide free access to training for unemployed people to build new skills and prepare for employment.
- Support Shoreham Academy Workplace Live. We do this annually and have our next careers fair at Shoreham Academy in July 2024.

During 2024 and beyond, we plan to:
- Continue to deliver topical eLearning talks, led by our Learning Production team, at Shoreham Academy to inspire the next generation of talent to consider a career in our sector.
- Support the Government’s vision to shape and grow new business, by providing guidance sessions with start-up businesses.
- Commitment to a further TED talk.

The contracts delivered through this framework will be delivered by our existing in-house team, which is growing year-on-year as demand for our services increases. Given the specialist nature of many of the roles which can also be performed anywhere in the UK, we do not take on local labour to staff contracts on a short-term basis but instead invest in the development of our permanent team on an ongoing basis. From time to time, we do employ the services of a carefully selected and trust supply chain, which includes other SMEs and micro businesses. We have full sight of our supply chains and are confident that they meet the requirements of Modern Slavery regulations.

Equal opportunity

Equal opportunity
We are accredited to Investors In People Gold Standard.

As with similar businesses across the UK, we are aware there may be an under representation of people with a disability, serious health condition or from underrepresented groups within our organisation and we are committed to taking steps to address this. We already apply inclusive recruitment practices which include anonymised applications.

We actively promote careers in our sector, which helps raise awareness of career opportunities with students from a range of different backgrounds and break down common myths and misperceptions.

As part of Me Learning's social value offer to this project, we will provide over 100 free eLearning licenses with access to our entire digital library, to be used as the customer deems appropriate. These free licenses can be distributed across communities that learners may otherwise not have access to specialised training such as 'Business Skills' or 'Leadership Development.' Access to this digital training will give disadvantaged learners the opportunity to gain skills in certain areas and improve their likelihood of securing employment.

The eLearning accessed by learners can be chosen by the customer for a specific purpose in mind, e.g to help certain individuals move into higher paid work by developing new skills relevant to the contract.

Modern slavery
As part of our eLearning social value offer, we can provide access to our Modern Slavery eLearning course to ensure the customer is aware of how to identify it and manage its risks.

From time to time, we do employ the services of a carefully selected and trust supply chain, which includes other SMEs and micro businesses. We have full sight of our supply chains and are confident that they meet the requirements of Modern Slavery regulations.

Wellbeing

Health and safety management is a core part of the responsibilities of our managers. The cost of living crisis has helped us focus on mental health as well as physical issues and our organisation has matured in this respect since the beginning of 2022.

We promote positive wellbeing and welfare by encouraging a culture of open and honest conversation, so staff feel able to share any concerns. Our managers are recognised and rewarded for creating an environment of openness and trust. Our Head of People and Performance, Lisa Lambert, provides an alternative route to support, if staff feel unable to access these via line management routes.

Me Learning offers a variety of mental health support tools to our employees:

-x1 mental health day per month, where employees can take a day for themselves, no questions asked.
-Open door policy to our Head of People and Performance, Lisa Lambert
-Access to therapy sessions via our private health insurance scheme
-We’ve been signed up to the Mental Health at Work Commitment since March 2024.

As part of our commitment, we are to review our policies and procedures relating to Mental Health in 2024. We plan to promote mental health literacy and measure and track our progress against the Mental Health at Work framework.

We are currently working on an action plan on Mental Health, including baseline measures and proposals for performance appraisal.

We regularly discount online courses on topical issues to raise awareness of wellbeing and inclusion. For example, every June during LGBTQ+ Pride month, we offer free access to a selection of relevant courses such as: LGBTQ+ Awareness, Equality & Diversity, Hate Crime Awareness.

We will continue to make discounted offers on digital learning on inclusivity and wellbeing topics. We will track the take up of these to inform future activities.
