Onboarding and offboarding
- Getting started
-
Users access Apprilis:SkySiege by first arranging full payment, either via upfront purchase or through a formal supplier agreement, ensuring delivery of the assessment report can proceed efficiently. The user then creates an AWS IAM Role that authorises Apprilis:SkySiege to securely access their cloud environment for scanning purposes, and provides the ARN of the role.
Once the ARN is confirmed, Apprilis:SkySiege validates access, executes the scan, and generates a detailed PDF report. Delivery of the report is arranged according to client preference, ensuring sensitive information is handled securely. - Service documentation

- End-of-contract data extraction
- At the conclusion of the service agreement, all client-access credentials, including AWS IAM Roles and associated permissions, are revoked to ensure security. Any data generated during the assessment, including scan reports, is either securely handed over to the client or destroyed according to agreed retention policies. Apprilis:SkySiege provides a final summary of completed assessments and ensures that no residual access to the client’s cloud environments remains. Optional post-contract support can be arranged if the client requires follow-up guidance on implementing remediation actions.
- End-of-contract process
- Apprilis:SkySiege operates as a primarily on-demand assessment platform, designed to provide rapid access to cloud security scanning capabilities. The service is accessible to organisations during agreed service hours for initiating scans, retrieving reports and engaging with the SkySiege engineering team. Because scanning is performed through secure, read-only cloud access roles, availability is aligned with client readiness rather than continuous system uptime.

The interface provides a dashboard with at-a-glance visibility of cloud security posture, scan history, and prioritised risk findings. Detailed PDF reports are generated directly from the platform, and results can be exported for integration into existing workflows. No local software installation or agents are required, and the interface supports multiple users with role-based access controls for secure, collaborative usage.

Apprilis:SkySiege operates as a primarily on-demand assessment platform, designed to provide rapid access to cloud security scanning capabilities. The service is accessible to organisations during agreed service hours for initiating scans, retrieving reports and engaging with the Apprilis:SkySiege engineering team. Because scanning is performed through secure, read-only cloud access roles, availability is aligned with client readiness rather than continuous system uptime.
Scheduled maintenance or platform updates are communicated in advance, and service interruptions are minimised through use of resilient hosting infrastructure. Routine performance monitoring supports visibility into service responsiveness and enables proactive handling of operational issues. This approach ensures that organisations can rely on Apprilis:SkySiege for security validation as required by development, release or governance cycles, without the need for dedicated internal infrastructure.
While operational availability may not be expressed as a fixed percentage uptime SLA in public materials, Apprilis:SkySiege’s on-demand delivery model and automation minimise lead times and support integration with agile and DevOps timelines. - Approach to resilience
