Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
Key on-boarding tasks include:
• Governance Model – agreement on the most suitable governance model to meet the requirements of the engagement;
• Delivery approach – agreement on whether an agile, waterfall or hybrid approach is best suited to the project;
• Elaboration – engagement with suitably empowered individuals from our Customer with whom we can capture functional and non-functional requirements;
• Commercial – finalise the commercial terms of the engagement with the Customer including agreement on delivery milestones.

Incremental Group provides on-site, remote/online and documented training dependant on the requirements of each individual customer.
Our standard method of training is to adopt a train the trainer approach allowing knowledge to cascade throughout the organisation to all users. This approach can be delivered on-site or remotely via video conferencing facilities. API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
The Power BI REST APIs provide a sophisticated interface designed to integrate analytics into custom applications and automate complex administrative workflows. A primary capability is Power BI Embedded, which empowers developers to securely embed interactive reports, dashboards, and tiles into external web or mobile applications, supporting both internal ("User Owns Data") and external ("App Owns Data") authentication scenarios.

Beyond embedding, the APIs facilitate extensive governance and administration. Users can programmatically manage the entire hierarchy of Power BI content, including the provisioning of workspaces, assignment of users, and management of capacities. The APIs also offer deep visibility through scanner endpoints, allowing administrators to extract tenant-level metadata and lineage information for compliance auditing.

For lifecycle management and data automation, the APIs enable the orchestration of dataset refreshes, the management of deployment pipelines for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and the programmatic execution of DAX queries. Additionally, developers can utilise the Push Datasets API to stream real-time data directly into Power BI, ensuring dashboards reflect the most current operational metrics.

  • Username or password
Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels
Customer data is encrypted at rest by default when stored in Azure, and customers can control their own encryption keys in Azure Key Vault. Most support requests do not require data access, with engineers relying on logs. Azure restricts data access for support and troubleshooting, using Just-in-Time (JIT) access for authorised engineers with temporary credentials.

Microsoft Purview Customer Lockbox lets customers approve or deny engineer access to their data. These technologies and processes (data encryption, JIT, and Customer Lockbox) ensure risk mitigation, safeguarding data confidentiality and integrity.

Configuration and change management standard
Supplier-defined controls
Configuration and change management approach
Ipsos (Market Research) Limited follows a rigorous ITILv3 aligned Configuration and Change Management process to ensure and maintain the integrity of services throughout their lifetime. We work with customers to ensure that changes and configurations are performed in line with agreed Change Management processes to reduce overall risk.

As part of the overall contract governance, we propose that a Change Advisory Board (CAB) is established that approves proposed changes and assists in the security assessment and prioritisation of any changes. The CAB should be composed of major stakeholders impacted by potential changes to the services and technical staff responsible.
Vulnerability management type
Supplier-defined controls
Vulnerability management approach
Microsoft Azure uses integrated deployment systems to manage the distribution and installation of security updates for Microsoft software. Azure also draw on the resources of the Microsoft Security Response Center. The MSRC identifies, monitors, responds to, and resolves security incidents and cloud vulnerabilities around-the-clock, every day of the year.

Vulnerability scanning is performed on server operating systems, databases, and network devices. The vulnerability scans are performed on a quarterly basis at a minimum. Azure contracts with independent assessors to perform penetration testing of the Azure boundary. Red-team exercises are routinely performed, and the results are used to make security improvements.
Protective monitoring type
Supplier-defined controls
Protective monitoring approach
Microsoft Azure security uses active monitoring tools like the Microsoft Monitoring Agent and System Center Operations Manager, configured to alert personnel in urgent situations. Azure continuously monitors and detects risks using machine learning algorithms, even when devices are offline. Upon detecting potential compromises, Microsoft follows a structured incident response process, conducting thorough investigations and taking immediate action to contain the exposure. Security controls are implemented across workloads to protect assets.

The Initial Response Time varies with both the support plan and the Business Impact of the request (Severity). Please visit: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/plans/response/
Incident management type
Supplier-defined controls
Incident management approach
Ipsos (market research) Limited provides end-to-end incident management and request fulfilment for all incidents and employs ITILv3 aligned processes to ensure that all incidents and requests are logged, categorised, prioritised and tracked consistently, in line with agreed SLAs.

Incidents are reported by users via our Service Management Tool and these are then:
• Logged;
• Reviewed;
• Progressed;
• Resolved; and
• Closed.
Incident Management reports can be provided as regularly as weekly and will be issued in a format as agreed with each individual customer.
