Fighting climate change
MetricsLed’s products are in use to anticipate, plan for, and respond to climate change and the impact of climate change. Our OPERATE platform is a complete platform for managing all aspects of operational delivery for major aid agencies and their most complex portfolios.
OPERATE’s significant processing power leverages data to support effective humanitarian early warning, risk management and disaster response.
These tools enable analysts and project teams to identify, track and analyse issues, trends and events across the spectrum of environmental, political, and climate sets.
This allows for adaptive planning such as the prepositioning of emergency supplies in advance of hurricanes, increased seismic activity, crop failure, virus surveillance and migratory flows relating to extreme weather events and environmental degradation.
The OPERATE platform is currently used to manage the UK’s central humanitarian and emergency response programme and supports the transparent and accountable delivery of over £750 million pounds of humanitarian action each year.
MetricsLed PROJECT – a platform with an end-to-end suite of project management and delivery tools – is used to support major grant programmes and complex development projects. It can be set up and configured to support donor financed programmes that tackle climate change and has been used to support climate change programming in a range of geographies such as Nigeria, Somalia, Brazil and the Middle East. In Nigeria for example PROJECT was used in support of programmes that aimed to bring solar power to remote rural areas and to support climate smart agriculture.
Our DEPLOY platform is currently in use by the British Government’s Conflict Security and Stability Fund to deploy civilian experts to hostile and fragile environments. Civilians deployed using DEPLOY have worked across missions focussed on climate change and the response extreme weather events in countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal and the Caribbean. - Covid-19 recovery
-
Covid-19 recovery
MetricsLed platforms have been used extensively in support of COVID 19 Recovery managing a wide range of medical supplies such as ventilators/field hospitals/protective equipment/testing kits in the UK and delivering them internationally on behalf of the British Government Humanitarian and Stabilisation Operations Team (HSOT).
Our platforms are currently in use to support HMG financed COVID 19 Recovery in a wide range of geographies across both hemispheres and in some of the most challenging and remote locations in the world: including the Antarctic, and contested spaces in countries such as Syria, Mali and Ukraine.
Our ENGAGE platform is in use by a range of US and UK agencies to monitor and counter mis and disinformation from hostile states and from extremists and terrorist groups.
The ENGAGE platform has been used to track the spread of disinformation relating to COVID – such as that developed to support anti-vax positions and themes - and has the ability to identify the source of key narratives and to monitor how those narratives spread and change over space and time. - Tackling economic inequality

Tackling economic inequality
MetricsLed is committed to tackling economic inequality by deploying software platforms that increase the impact and effectiveness of UK government spending and humanitarian and disaster relief. Our team are vocal proponents and supporters of the #techforgood movement and have committed to advancing technology within the humanitarian space.
Our MetricsLed PROJECT has been used extensively in support of programmes that seek to address economic inequality. Currently in use by over 2000 organisations it has been used to deliver over UK £200 million of programmes that aim to tackle economic inequality over 30 countries in the last 24 months. These programmes are varied in their approach – some aiming to boost investment and create new jobs, some aiming to disperse foods, stipends and income support to the most vulnerable in society.
PROJECT has a very well-developed monitoring, evaluation, & learning (MEL) suite and is particularly well set up to undertake rigorous evaluation of economic policies and programmes. PROJECT’s MEL suite allows users to:
• Set up frameworks to track impact, results, and output indicators
• Build questionnaires to gather and review quantitative and qualitative progress data and supporting evidence
• Compare performance against planned values over time and across projects and delivery partners
• Aggregate indicators for user-defined programmes and portfolios
PROJECT has been used to evaluate over 5,000 programmes that aim to address economic inequality over a 10-year period. These programmes - which have received over £250 million pounds of investment - have had significant impact and have help lift hundreds of thousands of people out of extreme poverty. - Equal opportunity
-
Equal opportunity
MetricsLed is committed to equal opportunities across the work we do both in the development of software and in its use within the aid, humanitarian and development space. We have a diverse and multicultural team and our policies and practices reflect an unshakable belief in equal opportunities. - Wellbeing
-
Wellbeing
Wellbeing is a key consideration of MetricsLed from a number of perspectives. As we develop software through the process of understanding the user journey and in subsequent coding and testing we put ease of user experience and intuitive direction at the heart of what we do.
Many of our licensed users are operating in kinetic, hostile or fragile environments. Accessibility, quality of interface and ease of use when under pressure are paramount considerations. We back this up with 24/7 immediate response helplines and technical support.
In short, we seek to address wellness by addressing the stresses of operating in the field & giving our licensees and users effective software that has been tried and tested extensively backed up by human-in-person support 24/7.
Effective tools provide efficiencies but they’re also good for morale.
