- How the web chat support is accessible
- We use a third party provider of web chat support services and their chat service is accredited to WCAG 2.0 AA. This includes keyboard navigation, and focus states and focus traps to facilitate such navigation. Screen readers are supported via semantic markup, ARIA attributes, adding visually hidden texts and removing mouse hover states. Colour contrast has been optimised to minimise impact on those with visual impairments. Our provider is working to facilitate further improvements and work towards further accreditations under WCAG.
- Web chat accessibility testing
- Anthropic has engaged accessibility specialists to conduct gap assessments of our web chat interface. We have worked with contractors to evaluate screen reader compatibility and keyboard navigation. We include voice mode in our web app. Testing has included validation of ARIA labels, focus management, and colour contrast requirements. We are actively working with external accessibility consultants to identify and remediate issues, with a focus on ensuring compatibility with common assistive technologies including screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, and alternative input devices. Our product teams receive accessibility requirements during the design phase.

- How the documentation is accessible
- Anthropic's documentation at docs.anthropic.com and support.anthropic.com is web-based and designed following standard web practices. Documentation uses semantic HTML structure with headings, lists, and navigation elements. Text content is rendered in readable fonts with adequate contrast. Documentation is searchable and navigable via keyboard. Code examples use syntax highlighting and are copyable. We are working toward WCAG 2.2 compliance across all Anthropic web properties as part of our accessibility roadmap. Currently, documentation is also compatible with AI dictation tools.
- End-of-contract data extraction
- Enterprise customers can export their organisation's data through the Claude.ai admin dashboard. Primary Owners can navigate to Settings and export conversation data, user lists, and project information. The export generates downloadable files containing users.json and conversations.json with all relevant data. For API customers, all data is accessible via the API during the contract period. Enterprise customers with Compliance API access can programmatically list, fetch, and export all chat messages, files, and user data. Anthropic provides written notification of data retention periods and deletion timelines as part of contract termination procedures.
- End-of-contract process
- At contract termination, customers retain access to export their data. Per Anthropic's Data Processing Addendum, within thirty (30) days of contract termination or expiration, Anthropic will delete all copies of Customer Data, including data processed by any subprocessors, except where retention is required by applicable law. Data export functionality is included in the contract price. Anthropic can provide written confirmation of data deletion upon request. Standard offboarding includes revocation of API keys and user access. There are no additional costs for standard data extraction or deletion processes.

Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
-
Anthropic offers a 99.5% monthly availability SLA for First-Party Claude API services. Availability is calculated as the percentage of API Requests that do not return a 5XX error, measured in 5-minute intervals averaged across each monthly billing cycle.
If Anthropic fails to meet the 99.5% SLA, customers may be eligible for tiered Service Credits, capped at a defined limit. Customers must notify Anthropic to claim credits. SLA exclusions apply to: beta features, scheduled maintenance, customer-side misconfigurations, and factors outside Anthropic's reasonable control. - Approach to resilience
-
Anthropic's infrastructure is designed for high availability through a multi-region, multi-cloud architecture. Key resilience features include:
Infrastructure: Services are deployed across geographically distributed data centres with redundant compute, storage, and networking. Load balancers distribute traffic across healthy instances, and automated failover mechanisms redirect traffic during partial outages.
Business Continuity: Anthropic maintains a Business Resilience framework covering Technical, Physical, and Business Functions domains. This includes Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery capabilities, Crisis & Emergency Management procedures, and defined Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Adaptation phases.
Data Protection: Customer data is backed up using cloud-native backup tooling with restore capabilities tested regularly. Detailed data centre resilience information is available upon request under NDA. - Outage reporting

- Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels
-
Access to management interfaces (Admin Console) is restricted through role-based-access-control. Only designated/primary Owners can access administrative functions including SSO/SCIM-configuration, user provisioning, audit logs, organization settings. API key creation requires API roles that are non-default and revokable, Support access for Enterprise customers is limited to Owners/Primary Owners only, with requests routed through a prioritized support queue.
If related to access management to Buyer/Customer Data: Users who need privileged access provision distinct accounts for that, authenticating to them only for privileged operations. Authorization, where regularly needed, is not time-bound. All session tokens expire - timing based on risk - and require re-authentication. - Access restriction testing frequency
