Planning
- Planning service
- Yes
- How the planning service works
- Through consultation with buyers and user research, we help buyers document the key stages of implementation and the associated risks. Working through those stages and taking action to mitigate risk allows us to support the buyer to plan for safe and effective implementation. Although the implementation template is generic, the reality of each plan is tailored to the unique situation of the buyer, for example considering the realistic availability of skills in both the current and future workforce.

Fighting climate change
At a strategic level, solutions developed through this service have already enabled decision makers to plan decades into the future by generating a shared visibility of opportunities to reduce climate change impact. Using these solutions at key decision-making points in combination with the expertise of our team guides planning for projects such as design and delivery of buildings, purchase of vehicles/major equipment and sourcing of goods which can be optimised for both value and sustainability.
Catalyze encourages responsible work arrangements to eliminate unnecessary travel, working remotely where this doesn't adversely affect delivery and provides staff access to electric vehicles under the latest government scheme. We also give time to volunteering activities such as improving the open spaces at a local hospice for young people.Tackling economic inequality
Through the delivery of this service we create greater opportunities for customers to grow their digital skills through collaboration and co-creation of solutions wherever possible. The service also supports the development of scalable and future-proofed new approaches to modernise working practices and increase productivity. As a mindfully growing SME we are increasing permanent employment opportunities in a managed and sustainable way. Our turnover of staff remains extremely low and our transition to becoming an Employee Owned Trust in 2021 seeks to maintain this by rewarding continued service.Equal opportunity
Handover of digital and analysis skills to buyers through collaborative team working and development of similar skills in the broader stakeholder community are important features of this service. These increase the earning and progression potential of Crown Servant users, developers and stakeholders. Catalyze Ltd is committed to equal employment opportunity, which means that merit and equity will form the basis of all decisions that affect its staff. To provide equal opportunity Catalyze has implemented several policies and statements which lay out Catalyze's beliefs and vision for equality: Catalyze’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy Statement, Catalyze’s Inclusive Practices Disabled People Policy Statement, Catalyze’s Harassment and Discrimination Policy Statement, and Catalyze’s Anti-Racial Discrimination Policy Statement. Catalyze’s Equal Opportunity Policy complements the Catalyze’s Code of Ethics and Practice and all employees are required to adhere to these policies as a condition of their employment. Accountability for ensuring that these policies are implemented at staff level rests with managers. We model modern working practices to enable our people to create a healthy work/life balance for themselves. For example in 2023 32% of our team worked part time working patterns to better suit their circumstances.Wellbeing
Users of this service report a dramatic reduction in data processing effort and shift to higher value, more meaningful work. This has increased their sense of wellbeing, job satisfaction and perceived importance of their efforts. As an Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award holder we are fortunate to have several former service personnel on our team. Their experiences foster improved consideration of the needs of servicemen and women and their families ensuring these factors are remembered in decision making. Ultimately improving the wellbeing and community integration of those currently serving and veterans.
