- How the planning service works
- Our service starts with our core On-boarding team discussing the Buyer`s needs and then conducting a full suite of internal systems analysis – requirements captures, Infrastructure audits, products and application evaluations and creating a specific roadmap to meet the requirements for the Cloud service in an agreed scope of Service. We engage Buyer`s stakeholders and internal departments to help us define and create a full suite of environmental, application and architectural blueprints to ensure Cloud hosting / Service success. Fighting climate change
Change-IT supports an ecology programme responsible for planting trees across various vulnerable areas of the world. We have helped fund projects that look to build forests, restore deforestation areas and degraded land, preserve the future of tree and fruit species and supporting water security. Additionally we also have helped to prevent over 30 tonnes of Co2e from being emitted by supporting on different carbon avoidance projects across the world. These include turning local organic waste into electricity in India, Solar PV electricity generation in Indonesia, a wind power project in Mexico and avoiding methane emissions from landfills in Brazil. Internally, we operate a cycle-to-work scheme, as well as reward stamps for using public transport to encourage alternative transport to driving cars. As part of our wider services, we use sustainability partners to recycle and re-use IT equipment, ensuring that safe and environmentally friendly disposal is used where required, or re-using our equipment forming a true “Circular Economy” practice both internally and to our customers.Covid-19 recovery
We offer a free 'workshop' style consultancy initiative to support people that have lost their job through the Covid-19 pandemic and are struggling to get back into work. Within our “Talent As A Service” practice, we offer a CV review initiative, give tips and advice on how to prepare for an interview, as well as participating in other general career guidance. We do this in partnership with different clients who we have an agreement to present potential candidates that have been out of work in a specific area, that have the relevant skills and experience required but may have a 1-3 year gap recently and help them get back into work. We also offer a free rightsizing and workplace audit to ensure our clients are actively utilising not only all relevant technologies for flexible working but also ensure remote working, and effective social distancing conditions are maintained.Tackling economic inequality
We aim to support and help create more opportunities for those who face barriers to employment. As an organisation, we have invested a certain amount of our budget into training from various job search companies on how we can reduce bias in our advertising and the importance of the language we use when posting job adverts online, screening and presenting over to a client. We also offer a referral scheme for successful candidates we've worked with before that they may have worked with before or know personally. Our data suggests that candidates that are part of a diversity group usually refer an individual from the same group, allowing us to grow our talent pool and aim to keep a strong diverse candidate pool ultimately helping to reduce the barriers these groups face helping with economic inequality. As part of our diverse and large Partner Network, we utilise a defined Supply Chain to assist with Niche / Innovative areas that may be required withing the Contract. By attracting best of breed suppliers not only to we ensure full contract adherence but also nurture future talent, business creation and modern delivery practices, allowing for small business development.Equal opportunity
Change-IT have spent time working into how we can support reduce the disability employment gap. Through various training we have taken internally to asking the candidates we work with for feedback and support on the challenges they face - we have collated the data and findings into solutions that we present to our clients to accommodate to help reduce the disability employment gap. These can include things such as flexible working, ensuring access to building sites and encouraging career plans that can help map their journey to promotion. As part of our wider Diversity and inclusion practices we look to overcome barriers and improve representation in the workforce with groups identified to have “protected characteristics” – our senior leadership team have taken part in EDI training thereby gaining invaluable insights into the significance and intricacies of diversity and equality in the workplace.Wellbeing
In addition to having a dedicated mental health first aider in our organisation, we also have several different initiatives to help improve the health and wellbeing of our employees and people that work closely with us, as well as implementing the six standards in the Mental Health at work Commitment. We also encourage our colleagues to give us recommendations to things that would support their own wellbeing, the most recent example is extended lunch breaks for our colleagues to have the chance to complete physical activities as well as having the chance to enjoy their own lunch break. We actively encourage open-dialogue with all entities within our contracts – both the end client, internal staff and supporting partners to ensure diverse wellbeing practices are valued and adhered to. By actively participating in workshops and key initiatives, tailored wellbeing solutions can be adopted to create more of a community feel when fulfilling the contractual obligations.
